You can download your own music, you can choose whatever instrument you want (keyboard, strings, woodwind, etc.) and it just magically listens to what you play and helps you fix your mistakes and stuff. There’s even an Audition where you play a couple of black keys and then it listens to you play that piece. There is also a Demo where you get to play along with a recording of your piece and just basically shows you where you have bad notes, mistakes and things. But the one part I would like you Developers to update a little is the Note-By Note thing. So, let’s say I download an exercise piece such as a Czerny. I play a couple of chords and they’re all correct. But somehow, the Note-By Note thing says one of the notes are wrong even thought they’re all correct. And also, it won’t move to the next note as long as you play the “correct note”. I like how the Note-By Note senses how your wrong, but sometimes it just doesn’t recognize what’s correct and what’s not, technically. So overall, I like this app, totally recommend it, but please improve the Note- By Note section. Thanks! -- rebecca72, 2021-12-17 ### ***** "Great practice tool!" Violy combines the great tool of a metronome with pitch. For a violinist, Violy is a gold mind. Violy helps me focus and set practice goals. Using Violy is like having a patient friend able to tell me when my pitch is a little too high or a little too low. Learning to use Violy with a non-judge mental attitude is an extremely powerful practice tool saving hours of trial and error. I also recommend the “play along” feature to play with a pianist or to play along matching pitch in unison. I highly recommend and use Violy on scales and etudes every day. My students using violy learn pieces faster than before. I have the student choose a section, play it slowly using note by note, then slowly with play along a couple times, then audition mode. Audition mode lets the student know if they need to go back to note by note and repeat the section or move forward with a new small section.
