You can also locate your car, share its location with your friends or family, and get safety notifications if your Viper SmartStart-protected car is speeding or goes where it's not supposed to go.

- For the ultimate connected car experience, install a complete Viper SmartStart Digital System and you’ll also get engine runtime and real time status on your choice of app dashboard. Get notified if your vehicle sets a diagnostic code, or check your fuel, battery, or odometer right in the app!

Had this system for less than 3 months and from DAY 1 it was unreliable. The remote start turns off within 20 seconds and you call for support and they just shift the blame to their authorized installer. New issues arise as time goes by. Now it doesn’t even start on the first crank. The system does a half crank and then tries again after 10 seconds to start. The latest problem is that now it randomly won’t unlock my doors and even if I use my key, it immobilizes my truck so I’m stuck in a public street (at risk of getting towed) unable to move my truck. The valet button on the windshield does nothing and the alarm starts blaring when I open the doors or turn the key, yet it doesn’t notify me that the alarm has been triggered. Not to mention I’m in Chicago with 5 bars and have T-Mobile while standing directly next to the truck. Just sat here for an hour trying to leave until we unhooked the battery and fooled the system. I paid nearly $1,000 to get their best and newest system just to get this garbage.

Besides the obvious in arming or disarming the alarm and using it to start the car, I actually a lot of the other features. If my kids borrow the car l can see if speeding. I like the MAP so I can locate the vehicle too.  I also got low battery alerts letting me know to have it checked out and that I needed a new battery before the car was dead.  Another time my daughter put her purse and packages at the mall in the trunk only to realize the keys were in it. She called me on her friends phone to ask how to have AAA come open the vehicle. I simply popped the trunk and unlocked the doors. She was in San Diego and I was in Dallas on business. Multi functional and reliable. It’s the best!

Worked for a month or so and then my system disappeared and it says I need to allow bluetooth which of course I already do. This is a known problem with no solution. Product was way too expensive not to be able to use on the phone.
