- No recording option. As a person on the go, there is OnDemand or other ways to rewatch. But not always for every channel… especially the ones you pay extra for. It’s pretty unfair you can’t record shows like every other service provider

Why is Virgin avoiding making a Roku app? It’s a good tv service with a serviceable app that works on my Apple TV quickly, and very slowly on my Amazon Fire stick. 

Roku is a fast, ad-free platform that actually offers you choices when you do a search. Amazon automatically assumes that every search leads to Amazon, to the point that every app is subverted into the system. Want to watch reruns of the Andy Griffith show? Amazon will let you download it for a cost, or buy it for a higher cost. Meanwhile, it’s available on all sorts of free platforms. Amazon just doesn’t let you go there.

Apple TV is somewhat better, but there’s still no way to get it to search within the Virgin Plus app. 

Make a Roku app and let it search the Virgin Plus schedule. That’ll make it into a real powerhouse option.

Fire stick sent phone will not cast to tv

It’s simple we are only getting 1 bar on internet strength on 2nd floor, so not enough strength to cast to fire stick.
I need I presume a booster bod for the 2nd floor. Modem is on 1st floor.

Virgin Plus TV is generally pretty good service; but there’s an underlying problem that you have to have Virgin Internet to get it and Virgin Internet has shown itself to be unstable.  There are a number of resets in a week because of lost network connection. no long-term outages but as always, Murphy’s Law rules that the fail will always occur in the last five minutes of a live sports show or the reveal of a who done it movie. Gets to be quite annoying.

Dear Developers 
I am giving a 3* for the Virgin TV plus app. The app is very similar to Bell Fibe app except for one major difference and that is recording capabilities. This fonction in today’s modern world is a must. This allow the viewer to have his programming recorded and be reviewed at a more suitable time. You add this and you’ll get a 5* as it enhance the customer experience by a lot.
Is this something in your plans? I know that Virgin Canada was purchased by Bell Canada. Thus Virgin should be able to add recording capabilities with little to no extra cost. I left Bell due to their hideous customer service and overall monopolistic and arrogant attitude don’t let me leave Virgin TV due to an obsolete app technology.

L’appli fonctionne très bien sur le téléphone directement. Par contre, lorsque je souhaite le mettre sur ma télévision Samsung, c’est TOUJOURS la même chose… des messages d’erreur ou bien plusieurs bugs et ça se déconnecte toute seul! Très déçu de payer pour ne pas être capable de regarder les postes sur la télévision directement… et à voir les commentaires, je ne suis pas le seul!
