Whether you want to use your iPad as a virtual scratch turntable, or just want to step away from the booth for a moment but still continue to monitor the mix from your iPhone, or even want to mix the whole gig wirelessly from your iPad while the computer plugged to your sound system delivers the beats, the VirtualDJ Remote application gives you full freedom to operate VirtualDJ over a WIFI connection.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: this application needs to connect to the software VirtualDJ running on a Mac or PC computer. The VirtualDJ software is available for FREE on www.virtualdj.com
SIMPLE WIRELESS SETUP:
VirtualDJ Remote and VirtualDJ Software connect over a simple Wifi connection.
If you are already using a wifi network, the connection will be done automatically, using Bonjour.
Otherwise, you can easily create an ad-hoc wifi network, and enter the device IP address in the VirtualDJ software for immediate connection.
EASY AUDIO CONFIGURATION:
The audio is being played by the computer, so you just need to plug your audio system to your computer, no need to carry audio wires to your iPhone/iPad.
SUPPORT THE FULL POWER OF VIRTUALDJ:
VirtualDJ is the most used DJ software, with more than 100,000,000 users, and has been used reliably by professional DJs all over the world for the past 10 years.
It features almost everything a DJ can need, from beat mixing, effects, song suggestions, samplers, video mixing, etc.

Since I bought this app, it has never opened successfully on my iPad. Whenever I try to, it gives this message, "trying to connect to virtual DJ." It stays like that for hours but does not open at all. Now I want to delete it. I've wasted money on this one

Stunning up for a production house company like ours
Have you always wanted to control the music/song volume/level on your Mac/PC when you on the other end of the room/hall/function venue, but can't get to it in time? or you on dinner break away from the DJ booth/table, and you want to change the song? Well then this app is great for that purpose. It even controls music video's too. All your music folders can be accessed from your iPhone/IPad, and one can even auto play if you away for longer than one/two/three... songs. Awesome app to have for guys in our technical production house industry :-)

I agree with Zaynesta's post below... Definitely not worth $9.99 have a look at how TouchDJ uses the multi touch for iPhone and iPad, if this software could incorporate the wifi sync with mixing witch was good and possibly just have a section with good sliders i.e high mid and low for both decs as well as the beat match all in one and mixer / effects without the turn table then that would be more effective, I rely feel more effort could of gone into this! As well as the browser for music is pathetic!!! Come on guys you could of at least had a scrolling list of some sort!!! This app needs some huge adjustments! I understand the involvement with software development. But why waist all that time on a poor product that is not quite there and rather creates Disappointment... If you want recommendations You may ask.
Major disappointment
When I first downloaded this and tried it out, it thought Yes! Finally a great way to control VirtualDJ!" Everything sync'ed immediately and seemed to have no delay between what I was doing on the iPad and what happened on the PC. But after playing around for a little while, I realized a major flaw - only one control can be used at a time! I might as well be using a mouse! Part of the benefit of a device such as the iPad is the multitouch functionality, but this has been completely ignored. Essentially I've wasted $9.99. Don't waste your money yet. Wait until they rectified this major flaw.

I like it now that I’ve gotten time to use it connects to my laptop so if needed can control from my phone
