## VirtualDJ Remote Description
Mix with VirtualDJ directly from your iPhone or iPad !

Whether you want to use your iPad as a virtual scratch turntable, or just want to step away from the booth for a moment but still continue to monitor the mix from your iPhone, or even want to mix the whole gig wirelessly from your iPad while the computer plugged to your sound system delivers the beats, the VirtualDJ Remote application gives you full freedom to operate VirtualDJ over a WIFI connection.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: this application needs to connect to the software VirtualDJ running on a Mac or PC computer. The VirtualDJ software is available for FREE on www.virtualdj.com


SIMPLE WIRELESS SETUP:
VirtualDJ Remote and VirtualDJ Software connect over a simple Wifi connection.
If you are already using a wifi network, the connection will be done automatically, using Bonjour.
Otherwise, you can easily create an ad-hoc wifi network, and enter the device IP address in the VirtualDJ software for immediate connection.

EASY AUDIO CONFIGURATION:
The audio is being played by the computer, so you just need to plug your audio system to your computer, no need to carry audio wires to your iPhone/iPad.

I have 2 computers running virtual dj and it wouldn’t connect to any of them! It displayed the virtual dj on my phone and said trying to connect to ip address which wasn’t either of my computers! £9.99 what a waste of money! RIP OFF!!!!!

Need connectivity to be better as when on a public network it will not work so when doing a gig it will not connect, and another thing is cannot do anything until it finds laptop on that network. Feels out of date after spending money on it.

At least the old version was stable and usable - the new release is flaky and basically unusable
It crashes connection if the iPhone changes apps or locks.  Feedback of most controls fails and dumping the app and restarting does not always reconnect.  Needs major debug.

Where did the fader go for the samples page. This was really handy to have the ability to fade out the samples from the iPad as you could use it along side a controller and have all your samples on it like a sound board. You could then use the fader to fade the sample out but it’s gone!!!! Bring back the fader please!!😭

Like my previous comment, doesn’t work on iPhone 13 and also 15. I have a MacBook Pro and iPhone 15 and this app is just alien to both of my hardware. Why can’t this get an update to make it work is beyond me

For playing tracks, searching and adding songs works just fine.  But the browser needs work.  Clicking a folder or list doesn’t open as expected you have to swipe right, not intuitive. You can’t load a playlist into the side list or auto mix.  You can’t move files around within the side list or automix.  You can’t select more than one song to add to a side list or automix.  You can’t jump to another song.  If you double click a song I’d expect that to play straight away but does nothing.

For £8.99 I’d expect a lot more functions.

I only use it on a home system and it it fine for controlling volume and fading between decks. On the computer go to settings, remote. Select your phone, click on connect and connect automatically, so that you don’t have to do this every time you turn it on.

I haven’t yet use the app whilst on a gig, however whilst we are in lockdown I’ve been using the app and the sampler features to play my station IDs whilst I djay online. My only complaint with the application is that it does drain the battery on my iPad Pro quite quickly. With a full charge on my iPad, the power will last about two hours during a four hours set. 

The app needs to be calibrated to not draining as much power. The app needs to be calibrated to not drain as much power.

Just wish you could scroll through the Automix playlist and see all music rather than just what’s on next. Then the ability to change automix order or add a song next instead of bottom of the list would be great. Rating it 4 stars, works great but would get 5 if the above was possible.
