There are a huge number of movie formats, and VLC can convert most of them - but it can't convert everything. If you have any doubts, then please try the free version of this application first.

What?
Expensive, slow and simplistic. Should have been dropped from the store years ago.
Great in the beginning
I used to have no problems copying videos to my iPad, lately the copying process will hang and I'll have to restart my iPad and PC and try again, also if the screen goes dark while copying, the file will stop transferring and the whole process will have to be restarted again. Would also be nice to have a playlist 😀

Useless piece of junk - uninstalled
VLC streamer appears to be created by an obvious amateur. The server software that you install on the PC is exceptionally poorly made and is CONSTANTLY buggering the user with extremely frequent updates. It is also very slow and not user friendly. Better to use the sharing functions of nPlayer or AVPlayer HD.

This app is really great, you can watch movies from your computer with high quality picture, with subtitles. It comes quickly and doesn't take place on your ipad as long as you don't copy it. Really, really good app. Thank to the creator!!!
Great app
Does what it says on the tin as it were. Could be made quicker. And improve upon .mkv playback (like most streaming media servers) and I wish it also supported audio like music and audio books.. But all in all one of my most used apps.
