There are a huge number of movie formats, and VLC can convert most of them - but it can't convert everything. If you have any doubts, then please try the free version of this application first.

I bought the app and only after discovered that only 2.0 channels sound is available, regardless of the source file. Moreover, there is no clue that the editor is planning to solve the issue. 
Thus, the app can be if use for those using tv built in speakers or 2.0 soundbars. 
The home theatre owners will be frustrated and will have to use cables or other ways to bring 5.1 to their devices

Есть некоторые проблемы с поиском сервера на компе: лечится перезагрузкой «vlc streamer helper» на компьютере.
Ни одного бесплатного приложения с таким функционалом больше не нашел..
