Good news source and would be a 5-star rating, but I uninstalled the app because it has no option to darken the background. Dark mode is easier on the eyes and every device’s battery. Battery life is vital for developing countries in Africa who rely on voa for factual & unbiased news reporting.
Sometimes I feel so BOA needs some more money to invest in sound quality of their broadcast. They need Increase the volume so it doesn’t sound like they’re broadcasting from a closet. Whenever I go to other broadcast after VOA, I’ve got to turn my volume down. Other than that I thoroughly enjoy listening to the news.
The music selection played soothes my loneliness and it’s melodic mellowness calms my mind. Wish it was broadcast more often throughout the day. 💆🏻♀️
Even NYTimes iOS app now has dark mode. Please fix
Bad audio aquality
Disappointing that a majority of the articles are framed to and support a political agenda using democrat pushed narratives. How about honestly reporting more than one view point to issues? Or allowing a comment section on the articles? VOA was key to bringing down the ideology that the Soviet Union was built on, destroying a totalitarian socialist regime, freeing millions of people and now it seems to be pushing that same ideology. Sad. Why not hire on some Turning point or Daily Wire writers for starters? Until there is some balance and honest attempts at telling the truth, this is just another source of democrat controlled fake news and propaganda. Tax payers supporting this should get more for their money.

You could’ve fooled me. Downloaded the app after reading some reviews. Had high hopes. Read a couple of the written articles and then turned on one of the taped news reports. It didn’t take long before the bias was extremely evident. Oh well, at least I know know. Radio Free Europe this isn’t.

I’ve been trying VOANEWS.com for days and I want to install the app. A too long list under name VOA . And I thing I find the app but after installed it , it fails to start!!
