VocalEase 4 U Reviews

Extremely useful

gburnett on

United States

Phenomenal for all aspects of singing, including ear training and breath control. The warm ups cover a wide range of difference things you might want to loosen up in your voice depending on the day, and Arnold is such a smooth and relaxed singer that just imitating what he's doing helped tremendously with some notes I would instinctively put some tension on. Very very happy with this app, I use it literally every single day.

THIS IS VALUABLE

Keep it up Arnold, and thank you!

Invaluable, but needs work

Emerson Grey on

United States

This app has a great UI, and Arnold put a lot of care into making these invaluable vocal exercises accessible to all who care for their voice. As the audio is years old (as old as the first iteration), it’s in need of a big. I hope to have a cleaner soundtrack. The off-the-cuff narration is a huge bother, and that’s evident getting through the very first exercise. There is no skip or scrub functionality, so you have to bare with it. The narration also slows down his playing, and it makes warming up a loose and disjointed experience. Additionally, having updates or sound packs could bring other interesting and useful exercises. This app already has so much to offer, and I’ve relied on it heavily, but it could be so much more. Thanks Arnold, and please investing in updating VE2!

This is a gift!

This is not a product, it’s a gift, from one one the great backing vocalists of our time. Well worth 10 or 20 times the cost. The various exercises and warm-ups aren’t unique by any means. But Arnold is giving us all the benefit of 30 years of study and professional singing. To have this guy, whom I’ve marveled at as he flawlessly accompanies musical heroes like James Taylor, and Ry Cooder, be right here in my ear giving me tips, keeping the work light and loose with a bit of humor, encouraging me, is a gift beyond description. It makes me WANT to do the vocal work I’ve been needing to do for a long time. BTW, I was alerted to this app by none other than the great Jackson Browne, who credited Arnold’s app for improving his voice and actually teaching him how to sing properly, 40 years into his singing career! JUST GET IT!

Essential for ALL Singers

Spacement on

United States

I cannot recommend this app enough for singers of any experience level. Warming up and training your vocals are essential for protecting your most precious instrument, your voice. There’s a reason the Arnold McCuller is one of the most sought after vocalists by musicians like James Taylor, Phil Collins, Lyle Lovett and too many others to list here. To this day Arnold continues to use his own app before each and every gig. Do yourself and your voice a favor and start using this app now.

My best friend

When alone on the bus traveling through the country I have a friend in arnold. I listen daily and laugh at the same silly remarks. But at the end find my voice ready for work.

Love the variety of exercises but unable to play Guest links of David and Rosemary. Thanks

Not for mezzos

Good exercises, but I hope you’re a baritone because the piano is too quiet to hear over Arnold.

Worth Every Penny and Need More Intervals

Nimbus 5000 on

United States

Arnold, your app is fantastic. I use it often and all the tidbits of technique keep me on track. I would suggest you create a section for "ear training" similar to the intervals where the pianist plays back a rather random set of notes for us to sing back using the do-re-mi "Solfege" scale instead of oohs and ahs.

Easy to Use

I plan to use this with my students. I really like the user-friendly functionality and the exercises are top notch.
