ROAD SAFETY STARTS WITH YOU
The choices you make while riding an electric scooter or e-bike affect not only you, but all your fellow road users, as well. So let’s get it right! Be sure to know the rules of the road before setting off on an e-scooter or e-bike. Stick to the bike lanes or close to the side curb, and stay off pavements. Never ride under the influence, and always wear a helmet to keep your head safe. Oh, and no twin-riding – one person per e-scooter or e-bike at a time.

FIRST TIME ON AN E-SCOOTER?
If you haven’t used an electric scooter before – activate reduced-speed mode in the app. This caps the max speed of the scooter, allowing you to start off slow while learning to operate the vehicle.

I really like Voi and the concept behind it. It’s been quite handy in getting me where I need to go most of the time. However, there are a few areas that could be improved:
1. App Navigation: The app’s navigation could be enhanced. It should allow users to input a location, display the route, and guide them to their destination. Additionally, it should notify users of the nearest Voi parking spot and whether that spot has available space or is full.
2. Parking and Charges: If a designated Voi parking spot is full, users should not be charged for the extra time it takes to find an alternative spot. It’s frustrating to be charged for an additional 4 minutes just because I have to search for another parking location, especially when it's farther from my destination. That seems unreasonable.

I used this application for two weeks in Cambridge . Itis a pity that Voi has no competition in Cambridge, monopolies are not a good thing!The bikes are ok but the app needs serious improvements. Indeed it forces you to park in certain places - while there is plenty of appropriate spaces in Cambridge - forcing you to figure out and find a free parking spot - while the counter is still ticking and taking your money - and undermining the advantage of riding a bike.. And it sometimes stopped connecting to mobile Internet (although emails, google maps and other services work fine). There is a help / chat, but of course it is only a bot…
