I choose to give app a 3 instead of 4 starts because of a problem I encounter. When phrases have numbers and punctuation dots in front of the them. It will start to read the text like reciting the letters of the alphabet.

Example :  
• Jane went far 

The robot voice will read it like this:

• j, a, n, e, w, e, n,t, f,a,r

The robot voice will just recite the letters instead of reading the word as a whole. 

Because of this problem ,  I choose to gave it a 3 instead of 4 …

WoW quelle découverte! Je pense au temps que je peux en sauver en lecture, mais aussi pour mon garçon qui est non lecteur. Cela va lui permettre d’atteindre un niveau plus élevé de compétences, développer sa confiance et réussir à comprendre des textes qui n’aurait pas réussi autrement.

Works great for reading Wikipedia pages about places nearby as I am on a road trip. (Search for “special:nearby” from Wikipedia website, or use Hamburg; Local.  One ENHANCEMENT REQUEST would be to have an option or button to automatically expand the sub-sections of a website like Wikipedia, since it doesn’t read those sections unless they are expanded.

I’ve been using this app for about 2 months now and it has a lot going for it, the voice I use is nice and I appreciate that I can control how fast things a read.

What stops me from rating this higher is that the app regularly loses where I’m listening if I pause it and will start back at the beginning of the file. I’m almost always listening to books with hundreds or pages in them so finding where I was is very frustrating. There also isn’t any search feature to help if I happen to remember something to get me back to my place.

It also occasionally bugs out and goes back to the default speed.

I also wish there were alternate ways to sort the library. It only lists alphabetically, but since I generally want to listen to the file I just added it would be great if we could sort be date added, though that’s less of an issue than the other things.

This is a great app. The only thing I don’t like which I believe is not ethical, is that you can’t delete any documents that you add to the app. I have documents that I finished listening to and would love to delete, but I can’t. And I’m using the paid version.

So, I’m obsessed with this app. It’s a life saver. Fantastic. I use it for like 10+ hours every day. One major bugs I’ve noticed is that 9 times out of 10, when it reads the word “wow” the speed changes to 0.5x and can’t be changed without changing the reading spot. Also, I’d like to be able to have a settings menu for voice and speed on the Home Screen. That way I don’t need to adjust it every time I open a new book. 

Other than that, good gravy, keep chugging.

I love this app! It is simple and read text that no other app could. Request to add functionality for pausing audio using the physical buttons on Apple earphones (they are normally able to pause something that’s playing).
