They're produced by insightful local storytellers, including journalists, filmmakers, novelists, podcasters, and tour guides. Ian McKellen has even created a tour. So have the Daily Show and Sir Stephen Fry. Why use VoiceMap? • Explore at your own pace instead of being herded along in a group. Start and stop tours whenever you like, to grab a drink or take in the view, then tap Resume to pick up exactly where you left off. • Focus on your surroundings, not the screen. With automatic GPS playback, you can just tap on Start and let VoiceMap guide you. • Avoid expensive roaming fees or fiddly connection issues. After you download a tour, VoiceMap works offline and includes an offline map. • Enjoy tours as many times as you like, both in your destination and with your feet up, at home. Virtual Playback turns every tour into a podcast or audio book. • Extend your attention span with indoor tours that help you make the most of your time at a growing range of museums and art galleries around the world. • With over 2,100 free and paid tours in 80 countries, VoiceMap offers huge variety. There are over 100 tours in London alone! Press: “High-quality self-guided walking tours...Narrated by local experts, they provide insight into corners of the city sometimes overlooked by regular guided tours.” Lonely Planet “We may be biased, but could there be anything more helpful than having a journalist in your pocket when touring a new city? How about a historian, a novelist or just a really passionate local? VoiceMap culls city-specific stories from them all and fits them neatly into walking tours.” New York Times User Testimonials: "Perfect for solo travelling on your own schedule! Downloaded for a trip to Europe and will be continuing to use it on my next travels." App Store review, Vialetter “My wife and I really enjoyed exploring Bruges at our own pace with this audio tour, and there were some memorable stories that the narrator shared. Also, the app worked great in relation to the location-based services. We easily followed the map and the audio was triggered in the appropriate spots. In comparison to the packs of people wandering the city with tour guides, this was a much better fit for us.” Viator review, Rick A “Great quality information - interesting and entertaining. The time flew by. And no waffle! This is far better than any other guided tour we found - they are much more expensive and far less informative. And you can do this tour any time, any day, at your own pace, and even do it twice!” Tripadvisor review, Carcassonne 's Medieval Walls: A Self-Guided Tour "Thoroughly recommend. Really enjoyed the tour. Very well done. Packed with information and took me round streets I’d never have thought to walk round. An audio and visual treat. Thank you." Janet, NYC “It was enjoyable to be under no time pressure to freely roam the city of Pisa as we so pleased. Wandering from attraction to attraction. The app is clever, concise and easy to use! Would do again - especially with another person or solo traveler.” GetYourGuide review, Grace L “Great value for money, interesting and very clear and easy to follow! I learnt lots about London I didn't already know and I have lived here over 30 years.” London’s Alternative History Tour, Carmella V. ** Just so you know, GPS runs in the background while you're on a tour. This decreases battery life and it's best to start a tour with your device fully charged. ## VoiceMap Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/13/2b/79/132b793b-79af-cbfd-5ae7-b3a07a8fb43a/1.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/50/89/9d/50899d2f-c667-cffa-cc75-475c970d359e/fe4b4317-45d6-43a1-97dc-914c4099c1a5_app-store-2.jpeg/1284x2778.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/fb/88/7c/fb887c89-e1a8-0036-5087-8946fe06c540/2.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/70/28/ce/7028ced6-485f-1a06-559d-18981af84cae/4.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/6b/6c/11/6b6c11cc-9f9b-12f0-96f2-d1312c88d48e/5.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/fc/2b/6b/fc2b6b92-8b57-e1a7-f1e3-26b000522b1e/6.jpg/1242x2688.png) ## VoiceMap Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 3,095 (90%) - 4 stars: 213 (6%) - 3 stars: 40 (1%) - 2 stars: 22 (1%) - 1 stars: 56 (2%) ## VoiceMap Reviews in United States ### ***** "Love this app" Put your AirPods in, start the tour and put your your phone away. You’ll have a great time! -- Odin's pet parent, 2026-02-28 ### ***** "San Francisco Chocolate" Great App easy to use. Such an engaging & informative tour. As you complete the tour you’ll learn so much about SF history & architecture while engaged in your tour of our city’s Chocolate roots. Who knew how important chocolate is to our roots. John’s technical knowledge of chocolate processing engages you in a deep understanding of the contribution chocolate has made here. Highly recommend this tour for all ages. Easy to follow and full of fun facts! -- SF Proud, 2026-02-28 ### ***** "Bangkok tour with Greg" ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent tour! Highly recommend. This tour represents one of the reasons I moved to Bangkok #HiddenTreasures Are around every corner. Greg provides depth and context to historical and cultural places in the heart of the city, but are on the “path less traveled”. I have lived his story about getting lost in Bangkok and having ‘oh wow’ moments. Looking forward to more of Greg’s tours. Greg is also one of the hosts of the “Bangkok Podcast” which is great for those that what the real “Chai tea” of the Big Mango -- n(joy), 2026-02-22 ### ***** "Affordable and everywhere" I do VoiceMap wherever I travel. I love it. One time I made the mistake of doing a group tour and it was three times as much And not very enjoyable. VoiceMap is great because I can go with my own pace. I always am able to understand the speaker because they’re in my ear. And if I want to stop at explore and see something and come back, I can. I could also do it at any time of the day. Sometimes I do it in the middle of the night. Sometimes I do VoiceMap in the morning sometimes. It’s so nice. -- utahlily, 2026-02-16 ### ****- "Great way to explore urban areas" We’ve done a few voicemap tours, including in locations where we thought we would just take a quick stop, and then were very engaged by a tour. If we tried to navigate on our own, we would definitely have gone in circles. So great to walk and listen and not try to navigate a paper guidebook. Also love going at your own pace and pausing if something catches your eye. -- MaineEcho, 2026-02-11 ### ***** "Awesome audio tour" We really enjoyed this audio tour of the movie Sideways and filming locations. Have never done this before. We stopped at a couple wineries during the tour which was fun. The only disappointment in the tour was finding out about a wonderful sounding winery that wasn’t actually on the tour. We were getting excited about it just to find out that we wouldn’t be going near it. Otherwise this was a great bday gift for my friend today!!! -- tatjiana, 2026-01-24 ### ***** "Essential when traveling" We have been using VoiceMap for over a year exploring Europe and it has made our trip vastly more enjoyable. We like being able to get an overview of the city, history, sights, food suggestions, and go more in depth later. As the tours are community submitted there is some variability in quality. I like that we can preview the route and listen to the narrator before buying a tour and be selective. -- MLM4, 2026-01-20 ### ***** "Immersive & delightful" I absolutely love VoiceMap! We used it for the first time in Madrid and I couldn’t be happier. The thoughtfulness of every aspect, from the stops and information to the consideration of traffic and proposed experiences. It was delightful and I felt immersed. I am convert and will use this every time I travel. (Maybe even at home if there is a tour of Dallas, Texas.) -- Walking Tour Enthusiast, 2025-12-11 ### ***** "Great for a solo walkabout." VoiceMap is the best way to explore a city. I frequently find myself in a new city flying solo- either because I am up too early or I have travelled by myself. This app has been a real boon to my solo travels. Informative and often off the beaten track, you get a real sense of adventure and gain new insight to wherever you are. I did do a group tour, because we all had the app, and that worked as well We had a great time discussing the different things that we retained about the tour over a pint. -- dalolies, 2025-12-10 ### ***** "What a great idea!" I love the idea of a fun, engaging self-guided tour that I can fit into my itinerary. We did the New Orleans Garden District tour over Thanksgiving and it was the perfect way to enjoy the area. -- HMac18, 2025-11-27 [View all VoiceMap reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## VoiceMap In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | VoiceMap audio tour | P10 | $9.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P12 | $11.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P8 | $7.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P7 | $6.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P9 | $8.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P6 | $5.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P5 | $4.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P15 | $14.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P20 | $19.99 | | VoiceMap audio tour | P4 | $3.99 | ## VoiceMap Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Grossing | Ireland | Travel | #13 | | Top Grossing | Canada | Travel | #13 | | Top Grossing | Sweden | Travel | #14 | | Top Grossing | United Kingdom | Travel | #22 | | Top Grossing | Thailand | Travel | #22 | | Top Grossing | Belgium | Travel | #28 | | Top Grossing | Mexico | Travel | #31 | | Top Grossing | United States | Travel | #32 | | Top Grossing | Australia | Travel | #35 | | Top Grossing | Finland | Travel | #38 | | Top Grossing | Netherlands | Travel | #39 | | Top Grossing | Azerbaijan | Travel | #40 | | Top Grossing | United Arab Emirates | Travel | #41 | | Top Grossing | Norway | Travel | #44 | | Top Grossing | Argentina | Travel | #50 | | Top Grossing | South Africa | Travel | #54 | | Top Grossing | France | Travel | #60 | | Top Grossing | Czechia | Travel | #61 | | Top Grossing | Israel | Travel | #62 | | Top Grossing | Hungary | Travel | #64 | | Top Grossing | India | Travel | #85 | | Top Grossing | Brazil | Travel | #87 | | Top Grossing | Ukraine | Travel | #89 | | Top Grossing | Spain | Travel | #92 | | Top Grossing | Malaysia | Travel | #95 | | Top Grossing | Germany | Travel | #98 | ## VoiceMap Discovered Keywords -
