I think they finally got the app experience figured out. However, my remaining gripe is the Apple Watch experience. You shouldn’t have to sign in with an authentication code on the watch when you already authenticate with the app itself. Also, the sign out frequency appears to be once a week meaning every week you have to go through the re-authentication process. The security protocols are just way too much and more than what financial institutions even require.

It’s hard to love the app and all that it does when it requires the user to enter email, password and then receive a PIN in an email to login everytime I want to lock or start my Volvo.  The specialist that so contacted said this is a new security feature… yet my wife does not have to jump through the same hoops to login. At the price of this subscription… not worth the hassle.  Financial apps use face recognition.  Why can’t Volvo?

Not sure if it’s the app or the car, but remote start no longer works. It’s the only reason I pay the highway robbery fee of $200 annually. If this isn’t resolved quickly, I won’t renew next month.

It’s impossible to get the app set up because it just hangs on the “searching for keys” step. It’s been searching for 10 minutes, despite both keys being in the front seat.

Decent start but has a way to go to offer functionality similar to Tesla app. For example, if the car is in my garage don’t tell me the car is unlocked. Allow the app to act as a car key. When I am over ten feet away from the car, and not home, lock the doors. For climate, allow steering wheel heat and individual seat heat settings.
