As a longtime Vivino user, I had high expectations for Heini’s new project, and Vota does not disappoint. The traditional 5-star rating system on Google and Yelp is completely broken - everything is a 4.2 or 4.7, which makes it impossible to tell the difference between a tourist trap and a hidden gem.

Votas comparison model is genius. By choosing between two specific restaurants, you get a much more accurate and honest ranking. It’s clean, easy to use, and free from the bias of sponsored reviews. If you actually care about where you eat, this is the only app you need.
