When I swith to host mode, it logs me off. Lots of stability issues for both the app and website for a host. This delay is unacceptable and undermines the trust between hosts and guests. Additionally, the website is slow and frustrating to navigate. Given these ongoing issues, I will be switching to Airbnb, which has proven to be more reliable and user-friendly. VRBO, spend some money to redo the whole app to make it easier for owners to use. From expiring requests staying in your calendar, to my calendar automatically reopening to dates more than a year away after having set it to open after only 9 months, not encouraging reviews from guests, reviews are basically usually only a star rating… look to Airbnb. Much easier and nicer to use. -- terrible app for owners, 2024-09-08 ### ****- "Almost as good as Airbnb" VRBO charges hosts on average 5.4% more for bookings than Airbnb. 3% payment processing fee and 5.4% booking fee. Airbnb has no payment processing fee & only 3% booking fee. The app is pretty good and easy to use. Not too many bugs. What they didn’t tell me is they’d make the listing live, without syncing said schedules. 3 days before May 24 (the biggest weekend of the summer and a Canadian holiday). Any host reading this can imagine how quickly I was double booked. Worst part is they wanted me to pay the cancellation fees. Then to say they have to review their mistake and still won’t re-list you. Support is useless in my opinion. Not to mention all the scam messages you get in your inbox from scammers that they don’t verify properly.
