## W Card Sorting Test Description
W Card Sorting Task (WCST)は主に学習の状況の変化に直面した際の柔軟性や抽象的思考を評価する課題です。
WCSTは前頭葉の機能障害に対して感受性をもつとされていることから、実行機能 (executive function) の計測法として有効であるとされています。

試験方法：
カードには3つの属性（色、記号、数）があります。
被験者は、試験中に変わる指示に従ってカードを4つに分類することを求められます。

試験結果：
結果は、64枚のカードを全て分類するまでにかかった時間と間違えた回数で報告されます。
従って、数値が大きいほど障害が大きいと判断できます。

WCSTでは戦略的な計画、系統的探索、環境からのフィードバックを利用した認知セットのシフト、目標の達成に向けた行動の方向付けや衝動的な応答の抑制のような前頭葉機能を評価することができます。
ADHD（注意欠陥多動障害）ではこのテストにおいて前頭前野の活動が活性化しないという特徴がみられ、WCSTは統合失調症に関する研究にも広く使われています。

大まかな目安：
スコアは年齢や性別に依存しますが、120秒以上かかったり間違いが10回以上あるような場合にはより精密な検査が必要と考えられます。
