I think it is now my favorite app and I think I’ve started a new life long endeavor
Sam Harris is just the most amazing and thoughtful philosopher, neuroscientist, thinker, guide, teacher… this app and his podcast has saved my life during the pandemic and new the lessons that are frequently added are incredibly insightful and helpful. This is better than any self help book you’ll ever read.
But the reward you can get off of this app is worth way more than this. If you really commit to it. It’s completely different to other meditation apps like headspace, sam harris really guides you into the endless world of your own mind. You can try it for 7 days for free so, why not?
I’ve been a happy and grateful user since day 1 and feel like I have always a place to go to when life doesn’t go as planned. Thank you Sam and Team
I’ve tried many meditation apps. This one is by far the richest one. Thank you Sam and Team!
This app has been a great way to get into meditation, starting with the intro course, and it continues to be a great tool for, almost, daily practice... And i haven't even really dived into all the great research that's provided. Also, to offer people access, who cant afford it, is truly rare in times like these! Chapeau! And thanks!
The subscription model of just offering a yearly subscription for 144euro is a joke. Sadly can‘t use it anymore
Love the app and everything about it ! But this is less of a review, I more or less just wanted to mention that the „focus“ function that IOS (apple) provides on iPhone, which also has a focus for WakingUp -called „mindfulness“ doesn’t properly work yet I feel like. It’s supposed to turn on automatically, when u start a session, but doesn’t. Hope this will get patched, I’ll keep on meditating :D ! Regards Kenny.
Using it since 2019. The content gets updated on a regular basis. I'm deeply grateful for the introduction to other meditation techniques and genuine teachers. A lot of confusion and false beliefs about the spiritual scene were debunked by Sam's sharp observations and questions during the podcast episodes. In the last couple of years, next to the pandemic, I've went through a couple of catastrophies which were enough to fall into madness and despair. Meditations, teachings, conversations and lectures on this app helped me to ground, to stay sane, in the middle of chaos. I feel I'm on a journey with a lot of people, beeing constantly reminded, that I'm already at the destination. It's an honor and a blessing to have access to wisdom which was kept locked up for thousands of years. Thank you, Sam & the whole team behind "Waking Up".
