Stay active while you work with WalkingMate, the native macOS menu bar app that brings seamless control to your WalkingPad treadmill.

Ditch the remote and control everything from your Mac. Start, stop, and adjust speed - all without leaving your keyboard. WalkingMate lives in your menu bar, making it effortless to walk while you code, write, or browse.

KEY FEATURES

• Menu Bar Control – Start, stop, and adjust speed from a discreet menu bar icon. Your remote can stay in the drawer.

• Live Stats in Menu Bar – See your current speed, steps, and workout time right in the menu bar. Switch between current session and period totals (today, this week, etc.).

• Keyboard Shortcuts – Global hotkeys work from any app. Keep your hands on the keyboard and keep walking. Optional sound feedback for speed changes.

• Automatic Workout Tracking – Recording starts the moment you start walking. No extra buttons to press.

• Accurate Step Counting – WalkingPad's built-in step counter is notoriously inaccurate. Calibrate with a correction factor to get the numbers right.

• iCloud Sync – Your workout history is automatically backed up and synced across your Macs.

• Apple Health Integration – Use the free iOS companion app to sync your walking data to Apple Health, closing your Activity rings and keeping all your fitness data in one place.

• Calorie Estimation – See estimated calories burned for each workout, calculated using METs (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) data.

• Walking History – Track your all-time step count and review your complete walking history over time.

• CSV Export – Your data stays yours. Export to CSV anytime for analysis in other tools.

• Home Assistant Integration – Connect to your smart home via MQTT. Automate your walks or display stats on a dashboard.

COMPATIBILITY

Built for WalkingPad, KingSmith, and Vitalwalk treadmills. If your treadmill connects to the official KSFit mobile app via Bluetooth, it will almost certainly work with WalkingMate.

The app supports the legacy WalkingPad protocol, Vitalwalk treadmills, and the newer FTMS (Fitness Machine Service) standard used by recent models like the Z1 series.
