Each walk comes with step by step instructions and waymark positions on a map. The instructions have pictures to make navigation easy and you can instantly see where each waymark is on the map. The maps are provided by Ordnance Survey and are always right up to date. When you get the full details for a walk the map is downloaded too and is stored for offline use. As you walk your position is shown on the map, so you can see how you are progressing from waymark to waymark. Nothing could be simpler! As a user of the free version of the app you can download one walk at a time and save it for 7 days. The map is an Ordnance Survey one but it is a simple 'open map' type, perfectly good for many types of walk. Upgrade with a modest annual subscription and you can follow walks on Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 Landranger and 1:25,000 Explorer maps, save as many walks as you like and keep them on your device for 30 days. You can also get a GPX file to load into other mapping applications. To find walks you can search by place name, postcode or by simply searching for walks nearby if you have your GPS turned on. Because of the sheer number of walks in the Walkingworld library you will always find some close by. You can filter the list of walks by grade, length and by key features such as pubs, cafes and whether walks are good for children or wheelchairs. Walkingworld has been providing online walking guides for over 20 years, with walks contributed and maintained by over 500 enthusiastic authors, with help from our thousands of members. The Walkingworld app brings those guides to your phone in the simplest, most easy to follow, way. We hope you will enjoy the walks and being part of the Walkingworld community. Our privacy policy: Our terms & conditions : Walkingworld Subscription A monthly subscription costing £2.49 gives you unlimited access to all 7000+ walks for the whole year. This app always used to be our go to for finding walks now sadly it seems full of bugs. Desperately needs updating, such a shame as at was brilliant. There are lots of great walks loaded onto the app, when it works it’s great but of late it’s been less responsive & spent more time down than working. -- Boot’s & bags, 2024-08-16 ### *---- "Absolutely dreadful" A waste of time. I tried three times to enter the Captcha code - entered correctly on each occasion, and three times it was rejected. Go elsewhere. -- Grimnetw2, 2024-03-06 ### ***** "Amazing App !" Oh my goodness this app is perfect The directions and pictures along the route are so so helpful and accurate This has been the best find for working out good local walks with clear instructions Never had an issue with signal so far -- Kakie999, 2024-01-14 ### ***-- "App orientation" Please can you make the app display according to the orientation of the device in use. When I use my iPad, with attached keyboard, I am always in landscape, but in order to use your app I have to twist my neck and it is unsustainable. It can’t be a difficult job to rotate the app when viewed in landscape - most other apps do it. -- AaBbCc1024, 2023-12-28 ### *---- "Walkingworld app" Absolutely rubbish app -- L1078, 2023-04-07 ### ****- "Really good app" I have used this app for several years and many walks. The directions are usually clear and helpful and a bit like those you find on the OS walks guides. A couple of things - I always print the route out as the app won’t work if you are in the areas with no mobile coverage (or that is my experience anyway). When it does work, which is most of the time tbf, the map feature with the GPS position on it is very useful. It would be even better if the direction you are headed was shown - as in Google maps - by an arrow or “fan”. -- anymouse22, 2022-07-11 ### ***** "Very useful app" Very pleased with the app & the walks so far. I’m 74 & lead a small informal group, similar ages, and the walks give useful photos & actual photos & experiences. Thank you -- Pembrokeshire ambler, 2022-05-26 ### ***** "Fab walking app" Really useful to find walks in an area. Easy to follow directions, clear pictures and really good that you can check where you are on the map and see quickly if you’ve gone wrong -- SelinaJP, 2022-03-09 ### *---- "Clunky app and expensive" Very clunky app . Looking to join at £18 pa which I thought was expensive compared to OS only to find its £2.49 per month. One walk I did ran from car park was circular and 6 miles but finished nearl a mile from car park. Nice idea but app needs updating walks reviewed and tidied up and priced to encourage casual users. I will stick with OS maps and internet search for walks. -- werdchyhjj, 2022-01-09 [View all Walkingworld reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Walkingworld In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Walkingworld Subscription | £17.99 | ## Apps Similar to Walkingworld - [BBC Countryfile Magazine](https://apptail.io/app/bbc-countryfile-magazine-HQb/united-kingdom) - [BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine](https://apptail.io/app/bbc-gardeners-world-magazine-PRb/united-kingdom) - [Camping & Caravanning Magazine](https://apptail.io/app/camping-caravanning-magazine-ZTe/united-kingdom) - [NGS Find a Garden](https://apptail.io/app/ngs-find-a-garden-Fhi/united-kingdom) - [BirdGuides](https://apptail.io/app/birdguides-mEl/united-kingdom) - [Fells](https://apptail.io/app/fells-ZYm/united-kingdom) - [Rest Less](https://apptail.io/app/rest-less-faz/united-kingdom) - [Hedgehog Street](https://apptail.io/app/hedgehog-street-ptbc/united-kingdom) - [TRACKER Touch](https://apptail.io/app/tracker-touch-CeAe/united-kingdom) - [Henry Street](https://apptail.io/app/henry-street-QmLe/united-kingdom) ## Walkingworld Available In - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/united-kingdom) - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/united-states) - [Sweden](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/sweden) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/belgium) - [Brazil](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/brazil) - [Belarus](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/belarus) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/canada) - [Chile](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/chile) - [China](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/china) - [Czechia](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/czechia) - [Germany](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/germany) - [Algeria](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/algeria) - [Ecuador](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/ecuador) - [Egypt](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/egypt) - [Spain](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/spain) - [Finland](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/finland) - [France](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/france) - [Greece](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/greece) - [Hong Kong SAR China](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/hong-kong) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/ireland) - [Israel](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/israel) - [India](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/india) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/italy) - [Japan](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/japan) - [South Korea](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/south-korea) - [Kuwait](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/kuwait) - [Lebanon](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/lebanon) - [Malta](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/malta) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/mexico) - [Malaysia](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/malaysia) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/netherlands) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/new-zealand) - [Peru](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/peru) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/philippines) - [Pakistan](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/pakistan) - [Poland](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/poland) - [Portugal](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/portugal) - [Romania](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/romania) - [Russia](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/russia) - [Singapore](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/singapore) - [Türkiye](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/turkey) - [Ukraine](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/ukraine) - [Vietnam](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/vietnam) - [United Arab Emirates](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/united-arab-emirates) - [South Africa](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/south-africa) - [Argentina](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/argentina) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/walkingworld-dLm/australia) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
