## WalkLock Description
WalkLock locks distracting apps until you walk.

Pick the apps you want to limit, set a step goal, and earn access back with real steps from Apple Health. Instead of relying on timers, guilt, or willpower, WalkLock turns screen time into something you earn by moving.

HOW IT WORKS

- Choose the distracting apps you want locked.
- Walk to hit your step goal.
- Apple Health confirms your real steps.
- Your apps unlock automatically.

WHY IT WORKS

- Turns screen time into a reward instead of a default.
- Adds accountability without timers or guilt-heavy blockers.
- Helps reduce doomscrolling and morning phone use.
- Uses movement as the unlock loop, not streak shame.

WHAT'S NEW IN 2.0

- Trends and weekly reports.
- Live Activities and Dynamic Island reminders.
- UI polish and reliability fixes.

BEST FOR

Adults trying to reduce social media use, stop habitual scrolling, and build a daily walking habit.

WalkLock is a screen time blocker and app blocker for people who want to walk before scrolling, use their phone less, and stay accountable without giving up their favorite apps.

## WalkLock Reviews in United States

### ***** "Helped me build better habits!"
I've been using this app for over a week now and it cured my addiction to Reddit and YouTube! It's way better than ScreenTime since it basically works in reverse. I have a 5,000 step goal so I can't use those apps unless I leave the house, which encourages me to go walk around the park or go to the gym instead of scrolling on my phone.
-- rothso, 2025-04-08

### ***** "Accountability Hack"
This app makes it super easy to get in exercise if you have a difficult time committing to a daily schedule. By locking your favorite apps, it requires you to get out and get your steps in so you can earn access.
-- Sebat0mic, 2025-03-13

### ***** "Great for New Year’s resolutions!"
As a college student, this app has helped me keep track of my screen time but in a much better way that other app blockers. I’ve tried a handful and rewarding me with screen time just by walking is incredibly beneficial!
-- milynono29, 2025-03-13

### ***** "Helped me use my phone less"
I enjoyed that I wasn’t as tempted to use my phone because I had to complete my step goal first. This made me feel more energetic and ready to tackle my day, cool app!
-- DaVictual, 2025-03-06

### ***** "Great app to control screentime"
This app works like a charm. I use it for Uber Eats and Postmates and this app ensures that I do some workout before giving into my cravings every morning. Sometimes i even go and get takeout because ordering apps are locked and that has also helped me explore local cafes and restaurants.
-- Fido_27, 2025-03-05

### ***** "An amazing way to reduce screen time and exercise!"
First of all, the whole experience of using the app is great, the UI feels so smooth and it’s a very simple and intuitive app to use. I’ve found that this app does an amazing job of forcing me to either exercise more or use my phone less, both two great options!!!
-- TrackerJo!, 2025-03-04

### ***** "Friendly Interface"
This app is so easy to use and looks amazing! Totally recommend!
-- Shanebaba, 2024-04-30

### ***** "Great app!"
This app is great! It helps me stay off my phone and get the exercise I need. Definitely needed in the age of addictive social media!!! They’re always pushing out new updates as well to get even more bang for your buck. 5 stars well deserved!
