## WanderWallet Description
Money should feel local.

WanderWallet is built for travelers and expats who are physically in Latin America and need to spend on real life: food, transport, hotels, pharmacies, coworking, and everyday purchases.

WanderWallet connects to whichever local rail is dominant in each country. QR codes, transfers, or both:
- Pix in Brazil
- Mercado Pago, MODO, and Transferencias 3.0 QR codes plus Alias, CVU, and CBU transfers in Argentina
- Bre-B transfers in Colombia
- QR Simple in Bolivia

Why this matters:
In many LATAM markets, tourists lose money to foreign-card FX rates or waste time managing cash. WanderWallet gives you one transparent local-spending experience across multiple countries, and your balance stays in USD or EUR until you actually spend.

Brazil:
- Pay with Pix QR codes or send Pix transfers to any Pix key (phone, email, CPF, or random key)
- Skip CPF and local-bank bureaucracy for day-to-day spending

Argentina:
- Pay by QR with Mercado Pago, MODO, or Transferencias 3.0
- Or send local transfers using Alias, CVU, or CBU, the routing IDs every Argentine bank and wallet supports
- In practice, this is often about 2 to 3 percent better than major foreign card networks

Colombia:
- Send Bre-B transfers using a Colombian phone number
- If someone gives you a number for Nequi, Daviplata, or Bancolombia, it usually works as a Bre-B key too
- Spend in COP from your USD or EUR balance without per-transaction card FX margins

Bolivia:
- Official rate is 6.96 BOB/USD
- WanderWallet uses the parallel exchange rate, around 8.50 to 9.00 BOB/USD
- That is roughly 25 percent better than official-rate ATM and card flows
- You scan QR Simple and pay from your phone

Argentina and Brazil have implemented their own payment systems called MercadoPago and Pix. They are nearly universally accepted everywhere. This app connects the Polygon blockchain (or your bank account if you prefer) to these systems seamlessly and securely. For US persons, you can think of it like Zelle but also for in-store business payments. That means you’re fully covered, whether paying a tour guide or street vendor directly, or scanning a QR code at a grocery store or online shop to pay. You know the price up front and the exchange rate is fair. You custody the funds in a Circle account abstraction contract just for yourself. KYC is fast and easy. Support is very responsible and helpful. I hope to see P2P Mercado Pago payments and additional countries added in the future!

I’m in Argentina now and have been using WanderWallet for a couple of weeks at many stores and restaurants who want to charge 10% extra to use a credit card. I always refuse and pay the same as cash using the QR code built within the app.  Works seamlessly without any issues whatsoever.  A great addition at some point would be to also add the option to pay by Transferencia.
