It says that it could here a a curlew in our garden we are just near the peak district but know here near the right habitat! I think it just generates random lists of birds

Warblr is an app that automatically recognises birds by their song. The way in which it works is simple – make a recording with your iPhone, and Warblr will identify the species of bird/s that can be found in that recording, providing you with images and descriptions to help you learn more about our feathered friends.
In using Warblr, you will be contributing to a citizen science project, and hopefully one day helping to protect endangered species. We will be making the recordings and the data collected on species identification freely available to be used for research and conservation.

All I ever get is a message saying Warblr is unable to process your results right now. Complete waste of money and time.
Complete waste of money
The app doesn’t work. I’ve done multiple recordings and it just says it is unable to submit them en though the quality is good and I have plenty of signal. Avoid.
Not working
The app was working really well initially but now it says there is no internet even though there is. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but to no avail. Very disappointing
Quick and effective
Some reviews from a few years ago suggest this might not work but I gave it a go regardless and was pleasantly surprised to see the issues are resolved I got a very quick and accurate identification of some local starlings nesting in nearby trees — can’t wait to use it more to identify birds while out and about. Design is a tad outdated which is the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Works great though
Doesn’t Work
Sadly it just doesn’t work. You can record silence indoors and it’ll tell you it’s 45% sure it heard a chaffinch. Therefore there’s little reason to trust it when you do record real birdsong, which has also produced very wrong results for me.
Scam
“Records” but doesn’t do any more than use your location to guess what might be around. Did a beautiful recording of barn owls (ie middle of the night) and was told I had an array of daytime birds. Rubbish and I want my money back
This app gets me in tune with nature 🐣❤️
Just downloaded the recent update and really like the new features. This app is so easy to use but educational and beautiful. Looking forward to using with my toddler once he gets a little bit older too
Doesn’t work
Never once got past the “processing” screen. Have emailed the developers, no response over two weeks later. If you can’t support and maintain your app, remove it from the App Store. Pretty much theft at this point.
Simply does not work
This is a rip off. Avoid at all costs. You will not be able to get back your money.
