This is the official Warhammer 40,000 app, an invaluable toolbox of support for planning armies and playing battles of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop miniatures game.

It includes the full Core Rules, along with key supporting info like rules commentary and tournament companions, that all can be searched and referenced quickly and easily.

This app is the easiest way to plan your Warhammer 40,000 army, always up to date with the latest points and rules in the Battle Forge. 

Using codes in your army’s codex, you can unlock all the datasheets, detachments, stratagems and enhancements for your chosen army. 

And with the new War Journal feature, you can now track the score of your Warhammer 40,000 games as you play.

In addition, the full rules for playing Warhammer 40,000 combat patrol, along with the datasheets for every combat patrol unit, are included in this app for free.

Subscribed users of the 40K app should really have access to all of the rules.

I feel that those that purchase codexes or other rule books should be able to access them on here whether they pay or not.

The subscription option should cover access to all rules that come out.

The benefit of the codex is the lore, artwork and all of that. Especially as the rules get updated and the codexes themselves quickly become deadweight beyond the lore and artwork.

GW you can pivot into the future and improve. Please listen to your player base. This hobby is so expensive already. Life is expensive. Invest in accessibility for at least the rules to get people interested in trying new armies and such. There are so many ways to access the rules for free these days that not allowing an affordable and sustainable option for just the rules does not force people to buy codexes. Instead, it alienates your player base pushing many to other sources to access and enjoy your hobby and makes GW feel out of touch, or even parasitic, to its loyal fanbase.

Getting players to interact with GW through GW apps is huge. It builds on the relationship players have with GW and its IP, and reduces use of 3rd party apps and websites.

It’s a shame Apple takes a cut of purchases through apps as the app having a portal to purchase codexes and models would have been great.

Another great idea that could be used for the App for subscribed players is an armory or something where you can store what models you own which could assist list building.

Either make it you pay for the subscription and don’t have to buy the codexes or you can buy the codexes for the info to become available without paying for the subscription.

Sometimes when I’m looking through the rules, it’s hard to find which weapon is which just by the name so maybe you could add a visual function which shows a picture of the weapon so you could define what it is and what how many you have your army more accurately but still great app
