Warhammer 40,000: The App

Very useful app but with the recent updates they have made it extremely inconvenient to use the app without forking over money even though we already spend so much on the hobby.

Completely unusable even with a full yearly subscription. Everything is locked and hidden behind paywalls even after you pay a subscription. For example you must own the relevant codex to access the armies etc. This is one massive slap in the face. Don’t bother with a subscription… its just a paywall before they let you access the second pay wall. What an absolute scam.

App is great overall, but now can’t check opponents rules as you need to have purchased their codex….

The app started off great, now there’s a subscription based service and you need to have codex’s to view army stats Given how expensive codex’s are in Australia it seems that GW thinks its fans are made of money Just stop being greedy and let us enjoy something we’ve already invested heavily in to

Best list building tool for 40K there is. For looking at rules though, it can feel a bit maze-like. It would be better if the rules in the app were set out like the ones in the core rules, codexes and indexes. Another issue is that, I put in the code for my codex, but it won’t let me access it while offline cause I can’t sign in. The books should be downloaded to the instance of the app, not to a cloud for the account. I use an iPad (with no mobile data), so this means I can’t use it as a one-stop rulebook for tournaments and such where I would be offline. please add offline access and make the rules easier to use in the app.

So frustrating. I bought my codex and it’s so annoying to have to redeem the code on the website and not the app but I did it. I have the app on my phone and iPad but can’t access the codex on my phone, only the iPad which is more annoying. Even on the iPad I can only build a list using 1 detach,ent. (Not the one I use) and not all that’s available in the codex THAT I PAID FOR! For the amount of money that this company expects for all they’re stuff, the least they could do is get off their piles of cash and just make an app that works.

It was a great app when all the data was free but it’s slowly dying a painful death. I swapped over from battle scribe because this was a one stop for all battle data and rules, it was a great resource for new players who didn’t want to spend loads of money to try out the game but y’all got greedy as usual… Looks like it’s back to battlescribe and borrowed codex.

They have moved the goal posts and paywalled space marines off unless you buy the codex now. All the data sheets for all armies were fully accessible until this latest money grab Great tool for quick reference now gone Don’t DL, not worth it

A mediocre system that’s poorly put together. States that it’s free, but the moment it’s installed they start mentioning that it’s just for a limited time. There are other completely free systems out there with no strings attached that are far more intuitive. This is a joke, and makes me glad I use a 3D printer to play the game this app is designed to support.
