This is the official Warhammer 40,000 app, an invaluable toolbox of support for planning armies and playing battles of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop miniatures game.

It includes the full Core Rules, along with key supporting info like rules commentary and tournament companions, that all can be searched and referenced quickly and easily.

This app is the easiest way to plan your Warhammer 40,000 army, always up to date with the latest points and rules in the Battle Forge. 

Using codes in your army’s codex, you can unlock all the datasheets, detachments, stratagems and enhancements for your chosen army. 

And with the new War Journal feature, you can now track the score of your Warhammer 40,000 games as you play.

In addition, the full rules for playing Warhammer 40,000 combat patrol, along with the datasheets for every combat patrol unit, are included in this app for free.

App is awesome for list building and very nice for a newer play to ensure I’m making a legal list. Paywall making more than one list and paywalling basic rules on other armies is diabolical. 
I’ll just google the information so all you’ve done is waste my time. 
It would be a perfect app if a subscription unlocked the app entirely but no.

Been using it since the app came out and it’s come a long way. It’s pretty decent in its current form, but it could use some tweeks.

It would be nice if the Enhancements, Detachment Rules, and Army Rules were included in each of the datasheet profiles of the Command Bunker. While it is nice to see the Detachment Rules and Army Rules next to the stratagems, it’s unnecessary for the Enhancements to be anywhere else except for on the datasheets that have the enhancements. I find myself constantly going back and forth playing a game to look at these. If it was all on the datasheet page, the only I would really need to go back and check are the stratagems.

Another thing that would be nice is if you could link datasheets together for attached units (character leading a unit and the unit itself). When clicking on the linked units datasheets it takes you to a page that has both datasheets and their enhancements. I find myself during a game bouncing back and forth between the unit datasheet and the character leading them to see if the character has any special buffs for leading the unit. 

Even if it’s not the full datasheet of the character, you could just link the character’s abilities, wargear abilities, and enhancements (info that typically affects attached units) to the attached unit datasheet so there is less bouncing back and forth.

A small change that would make a big impact is listing how many of each weapon the unit possesses on the Command Bunker datasheet. Sometimes I forget how many weapons a vehicle has equipped of a certain type and I either short change myself or I have to flip back to the export list to see how many it has equipped. We shouldn’t have to do that. It should be in the command bunker datasheets.

I like the app’s organization, it’s detail, and the way it can be switched into “play mode”. The only problem is that when units are moved to legends (as many of my Space Wolves recently were) their data sheets are removed from the app. There needs to be a setting that enables you to have legends units in your list.  As most of my lists use legends units, I will be switching to another app until this one comes around.

I love this app. Ignore the low reviews because those people likely did not play in past editions or do not play the game at all. 

Very intuitive for how complex 40K is and is easy to use as reference. I use it every single game I play. 

I do pay for WH+ to have all the list-building open, which probably helps bump this to a 5 star. Even if I only had the one army list slot, easily a 4 star. 

Long and short of it: this complicated game is much easier to play with your army rules in your hand. That means more fun had and more games played. 5/5
