You have to have a Warhammer+ subscription to make lists and then buy a $50 battletome just to see the rules. You can’t even look up your opponents warscrolls unless you buy their battletome. AoS popularity is already diminishing because of this. RIP AoS -- QwergmierMcGuven, 2025-02-26 ### *---- "Buggy and convoluted" This newer version of the app is worse in every way than the old one. Harder to find information and excessive use of drop-down menus. Worse of all it is extremely buggy. It frequently seems to forget I am a subscriber and limits access of features. Even when I select that I am a subscriber, it does not correct itself. -- Matt1234JH, 2025-02-18 ### *---- "Have to buy the app 3 times to get any use of it" First you need to actually buy a 60/year SUBSCRIPTION to use the app in any meaningful way. Then you need to buy a 50 dollar rulebook to now get access to the information IN the app. THEN you need to buy the actual units which go anywhere from 25-150 dollars EACH to use the information on the app. Terrible business practice, terrible app, terrible everything do not recommend spending any money on this company or this app. -- Pricepig, 2025-02-16 ### *---- "Everytime I see an update my heart sinks" Each time there is an update they block information/warscrolls/etc for the general player base. You can’t use the app to verify if your opponent is being honest about their units because you’d have to buy every single book once they come out. You can only ever have 1 list at a time so if you want to army craft with multiple armies you’re better off using literally anything else, even a piece of paper and a pencil. This app was actually 4 stars before they started hiding information behind one time use codes in $50 books. They ought to just give you the digital rules for free because it’s a boardgame, but because of greed I would at least appreciate the option option to pay for the digital rules for a faction on the app for like $5. Warhammer + should just give a person access to all the rules anyway, but that would be too consumer friendly for the mega-corporation that is GW. -- NormalHumanPerson69, 2025-01-30 ### **--- "I don’t want to buy anymore battletomes." Cons: There needs to be an alternate option to unlock the hidden content. The only option is buying a 60 dollar battletome. These printed books get FAQd within months. A warhammer + subscription should let you have access to rules. Or even a ~5 dollar add on if you want to unlock a digital set of rules. I have a bunch of 3rd edition battle tomes. I have a bunch of art essentially. now they want me to buy the same set of books with almost the same art for 4th edition. Pros. Considering the scope of specific interactions and intricacies that list building brings, the app functions. I’m used to the UI now and I set it up so all the drop down menus are automatically opened. It’s a good app for your games. I just don’t agree with the method in which you have to unlock rules. -- scskyle, 2025-01-18 ### *---- "Games workshop is scum" The owners are greedy deceitful, conniving, and manipulative. This game releases new models and over powers them in game to promote sales. They are constantly looking for more and more ways to make the game pay to play after the models are already over priced. Must pay a subscription to use the app, then you must’ve also purchased a hardback cover book in person to use a single use code to be able to see the rules for armies as they come out. Please use any free website that puts their information out publicly rather then use this app -- BigScaryGuy, 2025-01-07 ### *---- "Getting Worse" The app for Age of Sigmar has gotten worse for the third edition in a row. Rules are difficulty to find and warscrolls are now locked behind purchasing a battletome, meaning you have no idea what your opponent’s stuff does or how to help new players with their rules. The game is fun, but this app is a serious drawback. -- DMorley21, 2024-12-20 ### ***-- "Slow to Update" Rules updates are slow to show up on the app. Why aren’t they ready to go when the information is released? -- DavidMichaelBlue, 2024-12-20 ### ****- "Easy to use" Nice to look at, easy to build lists and find units and rules. Would be nice to see stats of armies who already have battle tomes for planning new army purchases. But I get trying to sell the books. -- Pariah47, 2024-12-19 ### *---- "The pay wall is ruining what could be a good app" The app was good when it first launched. Additional features like Realmgate made playing the game easier, but as battletomes get released the app is getting worse. Requiring a code to see the warscrolls is just awful for the game and pushes folks to piracy and alternative sources. Having a designer complain about it at the World Championships and have to go and find a Battletome to answer a rules question is just embarrassing. I’ve been cheated (either intentionally or not) because I can’t view my opponent’s Warscrolls countless times. What am I even paying for? Sorry to say, but the app is a joke and it’s not worth paying for. Use an alternative like List Bot or Wahapedia. -- TheHarrower, 2024-12-18 [View all Warhammer Age of Sigmar reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Warhammer Age of Sigmar Discovered Keywords -
