## Wärtsilä iSailor Description
Wärtsilä iSailor is an easy-to-use marine and river navigation application for amateur seafarers.
iSailor provides a clear presentation of navigational information, electronic charts and additional content.
TX-97 vector charts supported by iSailor are recognized worldwide as one of the most accurate and reliable sources of navigational information.

Chart folios can be purchased and downloaded in the iSailor Chart Store utilizing the standard iTunes Store payment/purchasing procedure. Chart correction service is provided on annual basis via the auto-renewable subscription service. iTunes will charge payment after confirmation of the chart correction purchase. You may manage your subscriptions and turn off the auto-renewal service in the Account Settings. Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the subscription period. You can cancel your subscription in the Chart Store any time. All previously purchased chart folios will remain available for you and can be restored from the service via the Chart Restore function. To receive subsequent chart corrections for your purchased charts, you will need to subscribe to the annual updates in the Chart Store.

The application works on iPhone and iPad using built-in GPS, NMEA Wi-Fi GPS or an external Bluetooth GPS.

NOTE: Continuous use of the GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease the battery life. Wärtsilä iSailor application may use your location even when it’s not open, which can decrease battery life of the device

Jeg har vænnet mig til at have det her i baghånden. Det er super godt, helt ok at navigere efter, og det kan tages frem, hvis strømmen går, eller man bliver i tvivl. Det er desuden et rigtig godt planlægningsværktøj. Jeg er meget begejstret og har brugt det mere end tre år.
Der er lidt udfordringer hvert år, når kortene opdateres. Det synes jeg, at I skal få løst.
Fed app, men telefon og iPad er ikke velegnet som navigatorer på grund af lys, refleksion fra skærm og vandtolerance.

Have had a subscription for a couple of years but even after renewing I don’t get updates and my purchase can’t be restored after reinstalling.

Tried contacting support but they are not responding... I suspect they have gone out of business or just don’t care...?

Cancelled my subscription and hope for a refund.

Wartsila took over iSailor in November 2018 and introduced for everyone yearly fees on every charts that we previously purchased with lifetime updates. Very unreliable firm, and they stopped updating the app. It’s such a shame for an app that was so promising...
About the app, it is easy to use and is well made with a lot a features I cannot find in competitors apps. I tried nearly all the apps for iPad and this was the most complete. I wish however a bit more professional AIS target monitoring with possibility to visually display the CPA collision point. Also would be very nice to be able to personalize entirely the display, and display simultaneously depth, wind, and navigation data. And lastly, a service for aerial images overlay would be perfect (as in TZ iBoat). When you try it, it is hard to do without it.

Why do you think you can allow you to claim money for Danish and German cards that I bought and paid for several years ago? The deal was not a rental agreement but a card purchase. I will not pay for anything I have already bought and paid for by agreement. The cards can be obtained free of charge so why do you think i have to pay again I do not understand !!! If you still choose to withdraw money from my account against my acceptance, I will gather so many of your Nordic customers as possible.  Jeg er sikker på at mange i norden sidder med samme problem som mig og ikke vil finde sig i denne urimelighed. Jeg vil foreslå jer at sende mig jeres kontakt oplysninger på Messenger så vi ikke skal tørres af dette firma år efter år. Som mange af jer ved var den også gal sidste år så de har haft rigeligt med tid til at få styr på deres forretning. Mvh.

Er blevet opkøbt for at vride penge ud af brugerne. 
Fra at være en ok prisbillig  alternativ til rigtige kortplottere, er det blevet en mega dyrt løsning. 
Og som det ikke er nok. Da de opdager kunderne flygter derfra hiver de et tilbud op af hatten “få første år gratis” hvis du har købt kort før 28 november.  Det virkede lige til februar, så blev kortet igen ubrugeligt. 
Utroligt hvad man kan slippe afsted med. 
Mere uhæderlig firma skal man lede længe efter. 
Kan kun på det kraftigst fraråde denne app som er en stor gang svindel.

Købte søkort til Norge 1 måned inden de blev solgt til nyt firma, hvorefter de ændre politik for anvendelse af deres kort. Havde forinden kort over hele Danmark, som jeg har været meget glad for. Tidligere var deres politik at man kunne anvende og opdatere de kort man har købt, efter salget er politikken nu at der skal betales hvert år for opdatering af kortet, og til en højere pris end jeg oprindelig har betalt.

Det er røveri ved højlys dag. Havde jeg kendt til dette her ville jeg ikke have valgt iSailor men istedet Navionics som har flere funktioner, heriblandt autoroute, tidevand osv. Og disse funktioner koster ikke ekstra.

Fortryder virkelig meget min køb og vil gerne have mine penge retur!
