I love the app but when setting up my interests upon opening the app I didn’t choose to be notified about football but am still getting reports and notifications about football. Wapo has mutated. No longer features news. Mostly propaganda and special interest pieces. And they’ve adopted a new format where the articles are painfully long. One day I was perusing the Post when I found myself looking for a “news” tab to click so I could learn what was going on in terms of current events. The irony is ridiculous.

I love Carolyn Hax. I’ve been a subscriber to the WaPo since 1973 but no more. 

I hoped that my paying for a full subscription for more than 50 years would support independent journalism. Instead it has been lining Jeff Bezo’s pockets which he is now sending to support an autocratic government as a way to further enrich himself. 

I’ve lost faith in the fourth estate. What a shame.
