## Watch Duty Description
Watch Duty is the only wildfire mapping and alert app powered by real people giving you real-time information vetted by trained professionals, not robots. While many other apps rely solely on government alerts, which can often be delayed, Watch Duty provides up-to-the-minute, life-saving information through a dedicated team of active and retired firefighters, dispatchers, first responders, and reporters who monitor radio scanners around the clock. We aim to keep you informed and safe with real-time updates and alerts.

Outstanding App.  If you live in an area that is subject to Wildfires, you need this tool.  We got burned out by the Woolsey Fire in 2018.  If we had this app back then, we would have been FAR better off!

I just experienced the 20,000 acre Mountain Fire in Somis. The winds were 80 miles per hour. It was a terrifying experience. This app did a great job of keeping me informed. I use to jump from one app to another to get accurate and real time updates. Once I got Watch Duty all the accurate, up to date and comprehensive information was available there. When your home is in the footprint of the fire it helps so much to know what is going on. I am so grateful for this superb app. A+++

When did this become cluttered with prescribed historical burns? It's literally pouring rain, I know they are not really doing those prescribed burns now. They didn't used to be there, and now they clutter up the entire map making it nearly useless for someone with ADHD to try to read the map visually. Feels like a betrayal. Please fix this. There is no way to remove the Rx Burns in any of the layers, and I swear there used to be. Please let us turn these off, the app is useless like this.

This app has been invaluable to us as we live in the Colorado mountains, and fires have become a regular part of our lives. Watch Duty gives us prompt notifications when a fire has started, clear details about where it’s headed from the wind map, where crews are in the process of fighting it, and when it’s time to go. It also allows us to notify our friends quickly when a fire pops up in their area and allows us to mobilize quickly to help them. Watch Duty gave us a notification this year that a wildfire (Stone Canyon Fire) had started less than a half of a mile from our home when we were out of town on vacation - and this allowed us to have enough time to mobilize our friends and community to get all 40 of our livestock, chickens, cats, dogs and valuables off our property within the hour. We’re very thankful for this app!! 🙏🏼❤️ Thank you!

Watch Duty provided me with frequent updates and alerts, and ultimately peace of mind, as we watched the Mountain Fire crawl over South Mountain adjacent to our home. Thankfully, we were just outside the evacuation zone.
