Seemed to work for a bit. Just get too much noise error all the time even with lowest sensitivity settings. Don’t waste your time and money.
Tried hard to get a recoding but even with a microphone taped on to a watch and placed under a bowl in a silent room it says “too much noise” and produced no reading. I feel as though have wasted my money on this one. A lemon from me
Watched a YouTube video of a comparison. The app works really well in a quiet room with consistent results. Well done!
This actually works amazingly well. Many of the reviews advocate strapping an AirPod to the watch case - don’t, it will magnetize the watch and is in any case ineffective. Just touch the crown to the phone mic and it works perfectly in a reasonably quiet environment on the default settings. Already used it to successfully tune up one watch which was way out of whack. I am impressed!
If at first you fail try again purchased it and didn’t no you have to use headphones microphone just tape it to back of watch brilliant love it 👍
You just need to sello-tape the Airpods’ microphone to the back of the watch. If it’s taped, it doesn’t even have to be “that quitet” in the room. It made good reading straight away.
I used this app by sellotaping the microphone from my EarPods to the back of my three watches. A Patek aquanaut, a Bréguet type XX and a Vacheron overseas. You need a quiet room! The results Patek +/- 1s, the Bréguet +/- 5s and the Vacheron +/- 26s. This is very accurate to my own long term timing tests. The Vacheron has had a problem for years even after many repairs!
Aplikacja żyje własnym życiem i pomimo zupełnej ciszy pokazuje że jest za głośno. Wyniki nie zgodne z rzeczywistością. Very bad app. Always wrong results . No recommended at all!
Worked well for me after a bit of perseverance with finding the best position for the mic (apple headphone mic). Essential to be in a quiet room and to experiment with the sensitivity setting. I was thinking of buying a timegrapher for £130, so this has saved me money and avoided the clutter of another device around the home. I am not a watch repair expert so cannot say whether it offers a true replacement for a timegrapher, but it is adequate for my needs as a hobbyist with a modest collection of vintage Smiths (Made in England) watches.
