This is an internal martial art style, similar to tai chi, that develops your Qi (energy) beyond normal. One IAP unlocks the entire contents of this video lesson with Master Helen Liang. Water style is the next step in your internal-arts journey. Like tai chi, Water style is a popular internal martial art known for centuries to transform your health. In this follow-along video, Master Helen teaches a basic understanding of the 66-movement Water-style form, explaining the correct movements with the martial and energetic purposes of each movement. Water style, also known as Liu He Ba Fa, emphasizes smooth, flowing movements that alternate between slow and fast, soft and hard, like the transformation of water between solid, liquid, and steam. The movements resemble floating clouds and flowing water, sometimes calm, sometimes surging. The student learns how the body generates force through alignment (kinetic energy), and how to channel qi (intrinsic energy) into powerful movements, resulting in improved circulation. Master Helen guides you with • Water-style form walk-through • Water style step-by-step instruction • Clear explanation of energetic principles Water style is said to have the firm softness and fluidity of tai chi, the intense power of xingyi, and the evasive coiling of bagua. Learning and mastering this form offers a beautiful way to refine your mind (xin) and spirit (yi). (Water style is recommended as a next step for those with some experience with other internal martial arts, such as tai chi, bagua, and xingyi). Like Tai Chi, Water Style relaxes the mind and body deeply, a key to maintaining and improving health. Your natural healing abilities are most effective when you are calm and centered. Regular practice can benefit your strength, flexibility, bone density, and muscle mass. The low-impact exercise has been shown to improve symptoms of depression and insomnia and promote the healing of chronic conditions. This mind-body art is an excellent way to relieve stress, lower your blood pressure, and develop a positive attitude toward life. Thank you for downloading our free app! We are striving to make the best possible video apps available. Sincerely, The team at YMAA Publication Center, Inc. Liuhebafa aka Water style is one of those rare internal arts that gets me excited to learn or experience. Yang style tai chi is my main style. But as we know, playing with a second style (when ready) helps advance skills and knowledge of our primary style. Helen Liang is one of the most qualified teachers of Liuhebafa. Watch the conclusion (free) when you download this app. Have fun and learn things. -- Qigong fan, 2023-02-17 ### ***** "Highly recommend! Works perfectly" Great video lessons with step by step instruction of Lou He Ba Fa. Helen Liang’s father was the first to demonstrate this form in public in China in the 1970s. This is an authentic internal art with martial applications. But it’s also an incredibly beautiful form. 2023 app update on my iPad is fantastic -- Qi Breather, 2023-01-23 ### *---- "Water Style w Helen Liang" Tried to purchase but keeps crashing!!! -- Iceman of Sta.
