Clearly not designed for an iPhone.
Tried 6 times to get it to work…ridiculous.
I can’t figure out costs, benefits, drawbacks, insulation, wind loading, warranty or any of the differences and specifications that would help me make a decision. Even the aesthetic selection system is bad, with no style selection like art deco, traditional, modern pacific… it is extremely laborious and pointless. This app would have been so much better if it looked at what consumers thought was important in addition to the look of the door. Look is important, but it’s also important to get an idea of cost and warranty. Even if it’s just $, $$, $$$ or $$$$. Same with warranty, wind loading, material or insulation. This app has the appearance of people just starting to code away without anyone developing a set of criteria and goals. Supremely amateurish. Wayne-Dalton probably builds great doors, but this app sure as heck doesn’t highlight that. Terrible effort. Makes Wayne-Dalton look like they’re out of their league. It’s the developer’s shoddy work, but Wayne-Dalton’s poor oversight that brought about this hot mess. No fun to use. Updating the look of your house by updating some of the biggest street facing features should be fun. It makes a huge difference to replace shoddy old doors with fresh up to date ones. Using this app should be like going to a milliner. Every hat should be a delight and highlight a different part of your personality. The app should also educate, be easy to use, fast and encourage the customers creativity. I really hope they redouble their efforts. An app is a good idea, but the execution is just horrible. Good luck.
As other reviews have stated this app is completely useless. The UI is awful, and it doesn’t even appear to have ever been user tested. The menu is under the camera notch on the phone so you can’t even read or access it. Completely worthless
App clearly has not been tested on iPhone as it does not take into account notch. Perspective/ door sizer does not align to photo easily. UI poorly designed. Does not appear to have been consumer tested or used by someone in need of a door. Cartoonish appearance of doors once you figure out how to use it (if you figure it out). Good thought very poorly executed. Would be ashamed as a company to have my name on this app.
I was so pleased to have Mr. Dalton come by our house we are building so he could measure the door and show us his Web site so we could pick from some beautiful doors. Buying from someone who takes pride in his business is a pleasure. Thank you Mr. Dalton.
There is no point to the app. I was hoping I would be able to upload a picture of my house and “sample” doors. Unfortunately, the app is just a mobile version of their busted website. They missed an opportunity.
Wayne Dalton makes some great garage doors, but clearly they have no experience in apps. Their “mobile” app is EXACTLY the same as their non-functioning app on their website. Unfortunately both are completely useless.
Ok
