The app only displays a full screen ad of the Weathergraph Subscription benefits. There is no button to skip/close the ad, you’re eternally stuck with it. Effectively, you must have a subscription to use the app; there is no free tier. The free tier shows you absolutely nothing but the paid tier’s ad. — Well, except the widget. The widget works fine.
