No Landscape mode for iPad or iPhone

No landscape mode ....

Davis support is not responding anymore

Two months ago I started to notice that my iPhone app did not show live status of wind and rain. I have been mailing with Davis since then but did not get response the last month. The issue is confirmed by Davis. Old phone and iPad still work. iPhone 12 with iOS 17 don’t work in live mode. This is BAD. Also, the contact option in Apple Store goes to a page not found. Please solve issues or provide an alternative app for live monitoring for my expensive Davis PWS.

No landscape mode?

Sure, Davis is a professional weather station, costing you an arm and a leg. But for the app, its for amateurs. Can't be used in landscape mode, just in portrait mode. Davis guys, that's so 2015! How hard can it be to have it rotate into landscape mode on a iPhone or iPad....

What’s wrong with Davis? Basic is OK, but the details…

For the most expensive weather station on the market, the software is below par. Well below! Link to developer website give 404 ??? IPad can not rotate the data on screen. So if you have a keyboard your out of luck. You need to keep rotating it or tilt your head (so much for user friendliness). And no widgets. Really!? My own weather station and a simple widget is not available? 2021…. If you have a subscription, your obviously would like to see your own charts been made available, which is not. If you count you need to pay for WeatherLink to get a better update frequency and then this software…. All in all, its OK-ish (do you want to be OK Davis?) but nowhere near to the quality of the H/W. Davis dropped the ball.

It could have been great ...

... if chart data was available. After the last update where you now have to pay for the chart data showed up only once. Therefore it is impossible to check the highs and lows, the extremes and weatherchanges ...

impossible to log in

impossible to log in, so this app is of no use to you. Just like the Davis Pro, defective after 1.5 years and a weather station that only cost a 1/4, now still works after more than 13 years
