I have had a Davis Vantage Pro for many years, I don’t send weather data to the internet, but find it useful to compare my readings with nearby stations and also calibrated Met Office stations too.

The app is easy to configure and use. Great for free.

### ***** "Davis Instruments Rock!"
Ok - so I know this is really a review forum for the App and not the system, but as the app is integral to the WLL system, worth a big shout out to Davis. I have had a Vantage Vue, turning and burning now for 12 years with no faults. And I mean, no faults. 

It has sat in the Scottish weather, patiently and reliably reporting, initially to the console and now the WLL and never put a foot wrong. I had inferior, cheaper brands prior to settling on Davis and the Vantage Vue, but trust me, when it comes to weather instruments, you get what you pay for. 

The WeatherLink Live itself does away with the need to permanently run a PC attached to a data logger and brings the system into the 21st Century. The app is the app - you will get opinions on how it should look etc, but it seems stable and for me the presentation is okay. 

All in all, I think Davis deserve huge credit for the quality of their engineering and hardware, now matched in software terms by the WLL system.

Pro subscription and as other reviews have stated that’s pretty pointless as it only really unlocks shorter upload times.

As I am not in the USA I cannot use the sms service but even David state that those notifications are unreliable.

As a pro subscription I would like to see the introduction of notifications from the app from various alarm triggers. 

It is a nice looking easy to read app, but severely lacking any features.

After six weeks the WLL suddenly stopped working with an intermittent flashing blue light. No mention of it in the manual or the app. Connected via Ethernet that’s working normally and no power cuts etc. wifi and iPhone working fine so it must be the unit.

App used to work great, now can’t change unit from F to C, it just reverts back to F immediately, can’t actually seem to change anything in the units section. Also doesn’t save any locations. I’ve tried updating the app and still doesn’t work properly.

Background: 
I'm an ex-StormChaser, but still a weather nut. 

I have had an early Vantage Pro2 Plus system (and several auxiliary units) since 2004.
I replaced the original VP2+ ISS in Dec2021 due to an unreplaceable faulty humidity sensor and daytime aspirator.

I started out using the old WeatherLink software to log the data and uploading it to the WeatherLink site. 
However, this meant that I needed to have a small Intel NUC running at all times to facilitate this.
As the NUC is used to do 'real work' during the day, the WeatherLink PC software often got in the way of what I was doing, so I purchased a WeatherLink Live unit with a Pro subscription. 
Then, the disappointments began...

I can see why people stick with a non-subscription account. 
The Pro account offers little over a free account other than a shorter upload (and display) period. 

There are very limited options on how the data is displayed in this app. 
I get that Davis wish to provide a consistent interface across all customers, paying and non, but it limits the usability of those who do pay. 
Even the website interface is a badly-coded mess (which I won't go into here)! 

Please look at the other reviews to see the limitations as they are still valid and all I will be doing is repeating them. 

Suffice to say, that as a 'free' app, it's not bad, but as a paying customer, I am sorely disappointed at the lack of utility.

I have just purchased the Davis Vantage Vue weather station with the WeatherLink live receiver. As far as I can tell, the data from the station is accurate but the WeatherLink live app fails to present the data in chart form. At first the charts would not update the data. Now there is no data presented. Until Davis correct this they are letting down what would otherwise be a good system.

I am happy with the app in terms of how it represents my weather station and air quality data (although agree with others that the lack of landscape mode in an iPad is very annoying) but is everyone happy with the accuracy of the weather forecasts? They use Custom Weather, who may be ok in the US, but here in the UK it is monumentally inaccurate.

Is a nicely designed interface but needs some additions to compete with some more modern competitors. 

Some requested improvements:
- Landscape mode for iPhone and iPad
- being able to tap e.g rain at summary and it will scroll to that section. 
- wind line chart as well as bar to display low, avg, gusts.

Only complaint is that the graphs never move to the current time upon opening the app, you always have to swipe them to the side to get to the current time, is this something that can be added?

Very frustrating is the process to order the station list. It will not save your home station at the top unless you move it to number 2 and then move number 1 down. It will save it but periodically loses it! 

I would have thought this is basic IOS programming it’s not weather related!

Main point is in recent update. Since when was wind speed data represented as a bar graph, what a poor decision! Rainfall graph showed be the bar graph and wind speed and gusts still be a line graph, like temp etc. Very odd update which knocks the rating down. Otherwise it remains an 'average to good' app.

Just installed and logged into my account. Initially it picked up and displayed current data. Next time  I opened the app it no longer displayed my station. Cannot resolve this so I guess i abandon this approach. Pity, it was a good idea....

I did miss the old version initially, but that’s just reluctance to change. Current version works well for my VP2 and runs nicely on an iPad. A widget would be nice, though :-)

1. Pull down and release screen to force refresh; 'Live' isn't accurate!
2. Add section to bottom of screen giving health of ISS, console and WLL - battery state, signal strength etc.
