This USED to be a great app.  Now it’s full of bugs and unwanted pop ups with dated info.  App designers never reply to messages, just a generic response, and haven’t bothered with an app update for almost a year now.  Add to that, you now have to pay twice if you want the app on a phone and an iPad with the same user ID.  Not happening.  Such a shame as it used to be great.

What the hell is going on with WeatherPro ?! Used to be great but now a lot of the features missing.
Paid to renew the subscription but it looks as nothing has happened even though they’ve taken my money……do not spend your hard earned cash on this App !!!!!

Long term paid subscriber here (since 2009), and this app was hands down the best.

There has been a fairly recent negative change to its previously decent licensing policy. 

Accuracy has been diminishing for a little while (eg regularly says today’s weather in London is X, everyone else says Y, everyone else is now more regularly right!). 

The developer has also messed around with a perfectly functioning licensing system which allowed an individuals premium subs to work across all their iOS and macOS devices. Now that’s all been scrapped and you have to pay for every iOS device type while macOS version support has disappeared.

Their support used to be great but clearly recent changes have got them in a tailspin firefighting angry premium subscribers. I’ve had a few quite haughty replies.

Now My premium subs only works on one of my iPhones all other devices are back to non premium subs status and my macOS versions have evidently been simply dumped and are no longer supported at all, you can’t even upgrade them if you want to. 

Time to switch to the now evidently far better Apple app I think.  Which makes me sad as I really did LOVE WeatherPro and regularly extolled its accuracy and usefulness. 

Edit 7th Jan 2025: 
Well that’s finished it for me!! 
After 15 years of paying subs for this product they’ve taken their last ££ from me.  
When their fairly recent licensing debacle began I was told that my usual premium subs (which had previously covered ALL my devices would now at least translate across my like devices ie iPhone to iPhone, or iPad to iPad. macOS was no longer supported at all.   
TODAY I was told even that’s no longer the case and you now need to purchase yet another type of licence (more £££) if you want that licence to translate across multiple ‘like’ devices. They say it’s for ‘Family Sharing’  which I couldn’t give a damn about. I don’t want to share it with family i just want an app i buy on my iPhone to at least be able to translate across to my second phone without yet more costs. 

So stuff this for a lark. 
This company has seriously slapped the faces of its long time brand advocate customers who have been paying month in month out for over a decade and i for one and now voting with my wallet, by no longer just accepting the continually increasing price / changing subs policies for a continually decreasing product experience, quality and accuracy. 

Apple Weather has become more detailed and more accurate by far.

I recently renewed my subscription so that I could make use of the 14 day forecast and extended map forecast, but the map view now only shows a few hours forecast, whereas before it would provide a view of cloud movements over 2 days. What gives?

This used to be a great app, you could buy a premium service from Meteo and you were given a premium account for all of Meteo’s apps on all your devices. Now they have become greedy and you have to buy premium services for each app on each device. Having done that, the system seems to ignore that you have subscribed to premium and gives you the basic service much of the time. In addition, their customer service which used to be great is now woeful.

This used to be my go to weather app. I work around the weather and it was fantastic for years, but now it’s just to buggy to be useful. 
I have always paid for pro version but more often that not it just displays the the minimal version without the I full details. Occasionally it will switch back and give me the full version but I have tried reinstalling and rebuying and it’s not stable for me at least.

Since 18.1.1 the app crashes when you open it. The ‘support’ button here in the AppStore takes you to a non-functioning page too. I subscribe to the pro version… what happens to my money.

I’ve been using this app along with their other app Rain Today for a number of years, purchasing a single annual subscription to use premium features on both my iPhone and iPad. I’ve been very happy with the product up until now. Today being the time of the year when I opened Weather Pro on my iPhone it said my premium subscription had expired and to renew to get the features back. So I renewed expecting as other years that this would also renew Rain Today on both iPhone and iPad. How WRONG was I. The subscription successfully activated Weather Pro on my iPhone but when I opened up Rain Today I got a message that I also needed to subscribe to it to get premium features back. Thinking they were now just treating both apps as separate I stupidly subscribed to Rain Today on my iPhone. Imagine my shock and horror when opening the two apps on my iPad using the same Apple account to find that they were now longer premium and that a further two subscriptions would be needed to activate them. So that’s gone from 1 subscription to 4 subscriptions to now get the same as before. WHAT A RIP OFF. None of this was mentioned in the pop up box telling me my subscription had expired, just the same message as in previous years. This must have caught many out. I consider this huge change in terms of conditions without any warning illegal and have contacted the developer for a full refund as a result. If I fail to get justice I will be contacting the Apple App Store and suggesting they pull the apps until they make it clear that you are purchasing a subscription to a single app on a single device, not as previously. I have never come across another app where you have to pay again to use the same app on another Apple device using the same account. BLATENT RIP OFF NEEDS TO REMOVED UNTIL THIS IS MADE CLEAR

I’ve subscribed to WeatherPro for some years, ad it has the best presentation of weather graphs, and of rain radar over the immediate past and future. However, in recent months the functionality has been reduced (no wind data), and serious bugs have appeared which don’t get fixed for months, so I can no longer recommend it.

Been using this app for years with no problems. Really helpful having higher res radar imagery. But……. Recently the app has been really buggy intermittently only giving me basic features even though I have premium access. No way to contact developers than writing a review. This is getting really annoying now. Despite having paid for premium, EVERY time I open the app it shows in free mode (ie 3 hourly windows). Eventually it decides it will revert to hourly windows. 
I reported this weeks and weeks ago, and no fix. Not good enough. 
(I am up to date on all iOS releases, so that’s not an excuse…)
Meteo - please fix this immediately. It is not the service I’m paying for.

I first wrote this 2 months ago, and nothing has changed. Meteo doesn’t seem to realise (or care?) that people who pay for the premium service are not getting it. Please refund me.  Or better still fix the issue!

I’ve used the ‘Premium’ version of the app for years and I particularly liked the easy overview of conditions over the days ahead and the excellent weather radar. 
I paid to renew my subscription but the ‘Premium’ features did not transfer to my other devices. So I deleted the app and reloaded it, paid again to find that ‘Premium’ features were absent from all devices!
Refund was declined. 
I have emailed the developer but I have not received a response. 
I have now deleted the app. 
It is always disappointing when an app stops working, but to be charged as well is too much.  I expect that the problem is to do with the change in the Meteo Group’s payment model that, in my recent experience,  seems to have been very poorly implemented.

This has been my weather app of choice for many years. The interface and accuracy has been good. However a recent change has caused my recently paid subscription to be removed. Their support department seems to be in no hurry to resolve the issue or refund the subscription. Time to move on to another provider.

Apple will not provide a refund either. They seem to be happy to take their share of the purchase price for a faulty app.
