Weaver Reviews

Out of coins

minnette712 on

United States

Was really hoping to like this app, but so far not so much. Can’t stand the use of “coins.” I get it, you want to make money, but the use of coins just to see profiles is is quite frankly obnoxious and causes a lot of anxiety. “Do you want to use a coin to see the next profile?” What other choice to I have?? Updated to add - so far I haven’t seen a single profile from my own state, let alone in/near my town. Also, I keep getting shown profiles that have deal breakers. Why am I “paying” to view profiles that are a NO regardless of content??

Nothing Special

It’s just like the other dating apps. Nothing unique.

Solves a problem in other dating apps

kikoteixeira on

United States

Weaver solves a problem that is rampant in other dating apps: wasting time. Instead of connecting based on some vague information on peoples profiles, Weaver exposes red flags and deal breakers. This makes the process much more efficient. Sure the app is still new and is still has some issues to be addressed like speed, but none of the other apps offer what it does.

Do not recommend

It shouldn’t take a month to review a profile.

Not active in my market, no heads up

KellyhatesiTunesrealtalk on

This app makes you go through a not-quick setup process only to tell you that they’re “new” (so what’s with the 15+ years age on your Apple app page?) so they don’t have markets outside of localities with “high demand.” And I presume when there’s enough “demand,” it’ll ask for more money than I think its lone principal of values-based matching is worth. Okcupid’s questions can achieve a very similar effect to this app’s features if you use it correctly. It relies on self-reported responses and aside from the natural inclination to look better on a dating app than you might be in real life, individuals are usually less accurate with self-reported hypothetical responses than they assume. Anyway, save yourself the trouble and wait til this app gets its act together.

Can’t Access

USAF84! on

I’ve tried several times now to sign up. The phone number and verification code entry boxes are too low on the screen to enter them - they’re cut off at the bottom of my screen. Please instruct me on what I can do to fix this. Thank you!

Too slow to approve new profiles

ABSOLUTELYtiredOFStupidity on

United States

I read an article in the Tampa Bay Times and shared it with a few friends and we all decided to download and try the app. I like the questions and the intention behind it BUT it’s ridiculous that it takes so long for a profile to be approved. I kept checking back every few hours and my profile still isn’t approved. My friends haven’t had theirs approved yet either. I took my time to completely fill out the profile, put up several pictures, and I’m still waiting. In all honesty if I have to wait more then a couple days what’s the point of the app if I’m not even going to get to the point where I can see other’s profiles? I’ve been on other apps that had slow approval processes and usually after 24 hours I just deleted the app and moved on. I understand that it’s a soft launch and mostly targeting Tampa Bay Area for now and I am in the area and was willing to give the app a try but it shouldn’t be this monumental problem of waiting to get approved even if there were several new people who signed up because of the article. Either the developers are going to fail before they even launch because of issues like slow profile approval or they’re going to get lost in the noise with all the other apps because they have faster approval processes in place to “strike while the iron is hot”. Was hopeful but now like my actual dating life I’m extremely disappointed and will probably just give up and move on to the next app.

No response from Support

I tried to sign up and submitted my phone number to get a confirmation code. It never came although I submitted it 5-6 times. I reached out to the developer via email days ago and have yet to receive a response. If I can’t work the app, it means 0/10 stars until it actually starts working. Sorry! ⭐️UPDATE: I have no more issues as mentioned above and the app seems to be working fine. Tbh I began using a different app altogether so just giving a 5⭐️ and moving on. Developers got back to me and fixed the problem.

Finish it!

It seems like the app would be so great. I wish more apps had these kinds of questions and the logo is cute. Please finish it ❤️
