A few years ago WebNovel was a great space for readers and authors alike to share and collaborate their works, but now advertisements and financial gain for the company have become their main concern when it should be their consumers.
You used to gain fast passes through check ins, power stones and challenges to unlock your favourite book chapters regardless of format and genre. Now you only receive specific fast passes for specific genres or comic only ones. I and many other WebNovel members who have been using the app for years have found this disappointing as not everyone wants to read horror or romance or reincarnation, and thus reviving a fast pass for a genre you don’t particularly like is disheartening and ultimately causes us to not want to use the app.
Hopefully the app will change but before then, don’t recommend.

I love using this app.. it’s got a great variety of books to read. Only issue with it is that it crashes to often
Used to be great but not anymore
This app used to be great a couple years ago. First they gave you coin for checking in everyday which was the best option. Then they changed to fast pass that you can use to unlock the chapter across the app which was not too bad, but now they changed it again. Now the daily check in fast pass is only available for a specific book or genre, you cannot use it across the app anymore. This is so mess up, I might have to stop reading the novel.
Buggy app, unskippable login ads
Poor app design with far too much forced un skippable advertisements every single time the app is opened.
Also on iOS tablets, syncing reading history from other devices will cause it to crash 80% of the time and skipping chapters or loading new chapters will do the same thing.
Very buggy, very unstable, not user-friendly. I miss the old WebNovel, which used to grant coins for daily missions and allowed you to spend a normal amount without feeling like you were being taken advantage of. Can’t say the same about the current WebNovel.

The only thing that makes it so much better is that it is unique in its own right.

the prices look reasonable until you realise how many “chapters “ these stories have and how short they are, one a4 piece of paper filled would have more writing. and don’t get that privilege nonsense that “runs out” i still have access to every single last one of those chapters long after the timer ran out and restarted. but the funny thing is for some reason i have spend $30 australian dollars just to rebuy all the all the chapters that I STILL HAVE ACCESS TO just get see the new ones. and also the app likes to say that there was an error with payment after apple pay confirmed my purchase was successful but then the app said there was an error so i thought i didn’t pay and with my apple pay it groups my spendings on apps to $30 so i couldn’t even see that they had taken the money twice until i got my bill.

After the newest update you won’t be allowed to skip chapters it’s a decent site but just because you skip a chapter the entire app crashes

Just go to Wattpad, at least there you can red the books for free, on WebNovel you have to pay to read.
