Expensive
Way too expensive - nice stories but again very very very expensive
Room for improvement.
I’ll try to keep my review short. I really enjoy Webnovel and the many novels they offer. That being said I prefer reading audiobooks and such, which Webnovel DOES have a feature for, which I appreciate. BUT this feature has two apparent flaws, first of all the minor flaw. The text is read aloud in a very robotic manner, this seems odd to me since better options are readily available on the market and shouldn’t be a major financial cost compared to the apps income, of course that’s just the minor issue. The major issue I have with the feature is a technical one, the app usually reads aloud for a few chapters, during which you can either follow along with the text or leave it on a audio player only mode, all of that is fine it’s great to have both options, BUT while using either I’ve had the experience that the app mysteriously shuts down after a few chapters for no apparent reason, repeatedly. And when you restart the app you’ll find that it hasn’t saved your progress at all and if you haven’t been paying attention you might have to check 10-30 chapters (depending of the length of the chapters in question) to figure out which once you’ve already read, this is less of a problem with named chapters especially when you’ve been paying extra attention to the names during your listening process but that’s not always the case and it makes it very troublesome to have long listening sessions. Other than that I have no issues with the app. For that reason I’ve chosen to give a review of four stars, I really do hope these small problems can be solved, especially the one concerning the problematic shutdowns during audio listening.

We have to pay to even read one chaptor its insanate
Sadly the app is horrible
Lots of pop ups constantly, also trying to push u to buy stuff and lots of small annoying UI things such as it capitalises letters after u delete the next layer will be capitalised. Opening the menu pops up (while u read) in an annoying fashion and fills basically the whole screen also there’s an ad. The layout is confusing and annoying to navigate. The website is so much better only reason I tried it even tho others warned me was to give powerstones (basically likes) to an author I like. Was hard to find where to even do that, do it on the website now it’s a lot easier there.
No horizontal mode, extremely expensive
The app is not good for reading on an iPad, and it has no horizontal mode. Furthermore, the chapters are extremely expensive. Paying 500 USD for a single book, event at 1200 chapters, is too much, its only a few days reading.
Bad Audio Playback
I really enjoy the audio playback, but this app continuously change the voice and how to work it. It has only become worse over time. As a company you shouldn’t force people to use your app, and then have done that bad of a job maintaining it. I honestly like the app, more than the website, but your problems with unnecessary updates and bad maintenance just makes it a overall bad experience. Get it together.
Waste of time!
The story I was reading disappeared! I cannot find it again. SO very irritating! Really unfriendly user surface.
