Dictionary pretending to be a thesaurus

This is one of the few apps I've purchased and it’s disappointing. There aren't a lot of words - Two out of three words I look up aren't even listed. The *real* hardcover Roget is amazing.

Search Doesn’t Work

The Webster New World Dictionary and Roget's are wonderful sources for anyone who enjoys writing, students, and writers. They are easy to use and contain up date information. They are invaluable when writing almost any document.

At last a truly comprehensive, usable, thesaurus app.

Not as advertised

Not sure where the good reviews are coming from, but reading though these I see I’m not the only one scratching my head. Clunky, incomplete, all but worthless as a dictionary and completely worthless as a thesaurus. In fact, the only place I’ve been able to find anything related to what I would call a “Thesaurus” is on the icon for the App. It sure isn’t actually, you know, within the app itself.

It is not a good thesaurus

It is not a comprehensive, or well-thought out reference book. I love the Webster's New World Dictionary and I use it frequently. Thinking this could not be bad, I bought it, but I was mistaken. There are many thesauruses in the market but, for the iPad there are none. You would be better of with a comprehensive dictionary with built in thesaurus such as Oxford American Dictionary or AHD 5 deluxe version. AHD Fifth Edition has been extremely buggy though.
