With Suica, you can enjoy seamless travel on all major transportation networks throughout Japan and make quick payments while shopping. Download the app on your iPhone and issue your Suica so you can travel without waiting in line for tickets! ■What’s New：March 2026 Now upgrade your journey with Suica Green Car Tickets purchased directly through Welcome Suica Mobile—offering extra comfort and a smoother ride to destinations like Narita Airport, Odawara, and Atami. Green Cars on local trains are a paid service offering spacious seats and a relaxing atmosphere. With Welcome Suica Mobile, you can purchase the required tickets for riding Green Cars on local trains. ■What's Great About It - The “Welcome Suica Mobile” app lets you instantly issue a Suica on your iPhone by setting a simple “secret keyword.” No membership registration is required. - Unlike a regular Suica, this app also provides transfer and tourist information. - Suica is a prepaid e-money card for trains, buses, and shopping anywhere in Japan. Once you’ve issued your Suica via the app, you’ll rarely need cash. - For transportation, simply tap your iPhone or Apple Watch at the ticket gate—no ticket purchase is necessary. The same goes for shopping; just tap to pay. - If your balance gets low, you can easily top it up via the app. - Top-ups are done through the credit card registered to Apple Pay. You don’t need to register your credit card information within the app. - Make reservations via JR-EAST Train Reservation directly within the app, allowing ticketless travel on JR East Shinkansen and limited express services to major destinations such as Narita Airport, Tokyo, Shinjuku, Yokohama, and Mt. Fuji. - You can ride non-reserved seats on the Tohoku, Hokkaido, Akita, Yamagata, Joetsu, or Hokuriku Shinkansen without buying a paper ticket.* *For details on where “Touch de Go! Shinkansen” is available, please check the JR East website. ■How It Works - You can use Suica on trains, buses, and other transportation systems nationwide. In addition to Suica, areas that accept PASMO, SAPICA, Kitaca, ICAS nimoca, icsca, RYUTO, TOICA, manaca, ICOCA, PiTaPa, SUGOCA, nimoca, HAYAKAKEN, OKICA, SAPICA and more are also supported. - You can use it for payments at stores displaying the IC mark nationwide. - Please set your secret keyword to get support if any issues occur. - The support center provides assistance via email in English only. - Compatibility: iPhone with iOS 17.2 or later, and Apple Watch Series 3 or later. - Payment method: Apple Pay only. - Fees: No deposit or issuance fee is required. ■Things to know - The balance of Welcome Suica Mobile expires 180 days after issuance. Once it expires, you can issue a new Suica within the same app. Refunds are not available, so please use up any remaining balance at airports, stations, and other stores. - You cannot use Suica when your device is powered off. *If your device turns off while you’re inside the ticket gate, you will need to pay the fare in cash for the section you traveled. - Please enable Express Mode for Suica. *Enabling Express Mode for Suica lets you pass through automatic ticket gates without biometric authentication. Biometric authentication may still be required for shopping. ## Welcome Suica Mobile Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/a5/9d/bc/a59dbc8c-6ab8-4cbe-850a-f4c976abb322/6.5inc_01.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/a4/1f/eb/a41feb56-80ce-e1dc-1813-179356ea1ab8/6.5inc_02.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/ba/55/44/ba5544aa-c0f2-d2b3-20a2-5e03e47288da/6.5inc_03.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/f2/db/9b/f2db9b5c-e4fc-a173-1707-bbb6ca87ef60/6.5inc_04.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/15/e7/a6/15e7a6fc-650c-46a7-52de-b855c5cdfdb8/6.5inc_05.jpg/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/3c/08/a6/3c08a6fe-70b2-33cf-ceaa-d5e2f4bd7bf7/6.5_2.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/3f/95/0f/3f950fc2-efbb-6362-c19d-81addfff8452/4.PNG/1242x2688.png) ## Welcome Suica Mobile Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 38 (38%) - 4 stars: 2 (2%) - 3 stars: 4 (4%) - 2 stars: 4 (4%) - 1 stars: 52 (52%) ## Welcome Suica Mobile Reviews in United States ### *---- "100% RIP OFF that can’t be used at all, wasting trouble shooting time etc" This app can never be used in Japan. Not once was a transaction successful and you have to pay for each trip. Have gone to Apple, JR etc and nothing worked yet the card is still refusing to refund for the totally useless purchase or agree to convert to a physical card. Waste of time and plain collection of money for no reason. Tourist trap - AVOID!!! -- Dr Molly Lim, 2026-09-10 ### *---- "Only good for 180 days!" I loved this app until one day it said that my Suica card had been removed from my Apple wallet. I still had 1700 yen stored value and didn’t realize that it expires after 180 days! READ THE FINE PRINT! Not sure why JR rail even has this app since you can add a digital Suica card to your Apple wallet and top it up so easily and there is no need for the “Welcome Suica” app. I just wish I had known that sooner. Unfortunately this seems like a money grab for unsuspecting tourists:( -- Allichan90, 2026-07-03 ### ***** "Did it’s job" This worked seamlessly to travel into and around the Tokyo area while I was there. It also worked with vending machines that accepted IC cards! If the vending machine brings up another card just go to your apple wallet and switch it. I’ve seen some reviews saying IPhones can directly create a Suica card but I wasn’t sure how to do that. The physical welcome Suica card only lasts for about a month but this one lasts for 180 days but any remaining balance is forfeit after that. I didn’t try and transfer anything so I’m not sure how that would work. I would use it again and wouldn’t have to worry about topping up with cash. -- SomeInternetGuy54, 2026-06-30 ### ***** "Very good IC card!" The low reviews may be caused by those who don’t know how to use it -- Gusxumu, 2026-06-13 ### *---- "Doesn’t work probably scam" Card was working for a few days. Topped up 15k yen and ever since then the card stopped working. No refunds either. I think I just got scammed. -- PebbleCereal, 2026-04-19 ### *---- "iPhone wallet Suica is better" This app won’t let me top up unless I’m in Japan. I want to do it before hand so I know my credit cards will work before I’m stuck in Japan with a different sim. -- Jaaanjaaaaaaan, 2026-04-18 ### **--- "Not for frequent travelers" The app is very good. It’s easy to use and works well. However, if you are a frequent traveler to Japan, you should use something else. Your account is only valid for 180 days and they will keep any funds you have on the card when it expires. They won’t transfer to your new account. -- Ukbfedgyvx, 2026-04-15 ### ***** "Easy, no issues" Easy to use, top up with Apple Pay. A must for traveling Japan local rails. **Limited express (reserved seat trains) you need an additional express ticket in addition to base fare. Local, express, etc is just the Suica. -- idkwhatsgoingon, 2026-04-04 ### *---- "Out of service hour" I’ve just installed this and after the introduction of the apps it said ‘Out of Service Hour’. Just when is an App has service hour. What a joke. -- Orotot, 2026-03-28 ### *---- "Useless" I purchased this to use for the train and it never worked and we tried it every time we went to the station. When we asked a person who worked there they always said you cannot use it here. Works good for food though. -- Anvfgxzgb, 2026-03-16 [View all Welcome Suica Mobile reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Welcome Suica Mobile Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Free | Finland | Finance | #37 | | Top Free | New Zealand | Finance | #37 | | Top Free | Singapore | Finance | #39 | | Top Free | Australia | Finance | #45 | | Top Free | Denmark | Finance | #46 | | Top Free | Ireland | Finance | #66 | | Top Free | Canada | Finance | #77 | | Top Free | Belgium | Finance | #88 | | Top Free | Netherlands | Finance | #88 | | Top Free | Austria | Finance | #91 | | Top Free | Germany | Finance | #97 | | Top Free | Hungary | Finance | #103 | | Top Free | Poland | Finance | #111 | | Top Free | Greece | Finance | #113 | | Top Free | Italy | Finance | #116 | | Top Free | Sweden | Finance | #118 | | Top Free | Czechia | Finance | #120 | | Top Free | Spain | Finance | #126 | | Top Free | United Kingdom | Finance | #139 | | Top Free | Malaysia | Finance | #142 | | Top Free | Taiwan | Finance | #187 | | Top Free | United States | Finance | #207 | | Top Free | Romania | Finance | #240 | | Top Free | South Korea | Finance | #245 | ## Welcome Suica Mobile Discovered Keywords - welcome suica mobile ## Welcome Suica Mobile Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/united-states) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/australia) - [United Kingdom](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/united-kingdom) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/canada) - [Japan](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/japan) - [Singapore](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/singapore) - [Germany](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/germany) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/netherlands) - [Italy](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/italy) - [Taiwan](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/taiwan) - [China](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/china) - [Sweden](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/sweden) - [Malaysia](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/malaysia) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/new-zealand) - [Spain](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/spain) - [Denmark](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/denmark) - [Vietnam](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/vietnam) - [Austria](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/austria) - [Belgium](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/belgium) - [Finland](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/finland) - [Malta](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/malta) - [Latvia](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/latvia) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/ireland) - [Estonia](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/estonia) - [Cyprus](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/cyprus) - [Bulgaria](https://apptail.io/app/welcome-suica-mobile-Kqav/bulgaria) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
