## Wemu Description
Wemu is the exclusive app that has a music library that includes genres of Garifuna music such as Punta, Paranda, and Raspa which illustrates the creativity and art of all Garifuna Artists around the world. It is the first musical platform of it’s kind.
Wemu offers digital copyright restricted recorded music and podcasts, including more than 12 million songs, from Garifuna independent record labels and media companies. As a freemium service, basic features are free with advertisements and limited control, while additional features, such as offline listening and commercial-free listening, are offered via paid subscriptions. Users can search for Garifuna music based on artist, album, or genre, and can create, edit, and share playlists.

Wemu user and subscriber is largely US and Garifuna based countries, jointly accounting for around 53% of users and 67% of revenue.

Unlike physical or download sales, which pay artists a fixed price per song or album sold, Wemu pays royalties based on the number of artist streams as a proportion of total songs streamed. It distributes approximately 70% of its total revenue to rights holders, who then pay artists based on individual agreements.

Bear in mind the copy here is not included in the search index so it will not help app discoverability. The description can be updated at any time.
