## Westinghouse Smart Plug Reviews in Canada

### *---- "Devices malfunctioning"
I have one of the smart plugs, and whenever my device disconnects from the WIFI network (often due to poor connection at certain times of day), my plug will repeatedly turn on and off for up to 5 minutes. Really annoying and no other way to end this loop than physically unplugging the device. This is really annoying (and lowk scary at night because why tf are my lights seizing out) - a refund would be nice 😁

### ***-- "Ok, but!"
Edit: (oct 7th 2024) there is a slight issue with the timer… if you use the “inching” feature it actually interferes with the “scheduled” timer - for example i have mine set to turn on at 2am & turn off at 6:30am to charge my phone while sleeping…
but during the day i had another device that needed a charge while i did some errands so set the “inching” feature for 30 minutes & it worked great — device got the charge it needed & the plug turned off…. Well here is the issue - later when the over night schedule turned on - it turned OFF 30 minutes later… not getting the full time.
In my opinion this feature needs to have a firmware update so that it work properly as to NOT interfere with such schedules

Original (oct 4th 2024):

This app works wonderfully , I have one of the smart plugs set up with the timer to turn on EVERY night around 2am & off at 6am… just so my iPhone can charge each night & slowly it gets use to that time so the BatteryOptimization settings will get use to it - saving battery life (I probably can adjust it down another 2 hours in future)

HERE is the BUT: I don’t like how there is NO options to delete the “switch log” - or even having a way to disable the “switch log” from even being saved in the first place… personally I would prefer it to not save that - as there really is no reason for it.

### *---- "Garbage"
App is unresponsive 95% of the time but only with one plug. Even sitting beside my partner and we both open the app, his works and mine says device offline. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, didn’t work. Tried resetting to factory settings on the device, still no luck. Don’t even get me started on the absolute nightmare it is to actually pair the device with the app. Also likes to randomly turn itself on and off at completely random times.

### *---- "Worst thing I ever bought"
Buggy can’t connect to my phone or other phone (iPhone, google,Samsung) when in pairing mode it start to light power and close power everytime it flashes ! Well I even throw it in the garbage can 30 min after trying every pairing method . Worst thing ever bought in my life ! *china*

### *---- "Don’t waste your time or money"
Not worth it at all. Waste of time and money. I’m returning the product right away.
-- Heudjrn, 2023-02-16

### *---- "Very unreliable for outdoor smart plug"
I got this app to control a westing house outdoor smart plug, I used the app schedule to control the car block heater, it wouldn’t turn on half of the time, app has lots of great features, but smart plug not functions properly, I switched to Kasa smart plug!!
-- Denials 98657, 2022-12-19

### *---- "Useless"
Won’t pair with device. Useless.
-- Frustrated.01010101010, 2022-11-26

### *---- "Device unresponsive"
After using the smart plug for a while with my Alexa the device goes offline whenever I’m not on the app and now even when on the app it is unresponsive. Just buy a genuine brand plug so you don’t have to download their app to use the plug.

### ***** "It does what I need"
Using this to grow “tomatoes”. The one thing I notice is that I have to reset my password quite often. Other than that it does what I want, I currently have my humidifier, and fan on a timer. No issues.
-- TheLindsays', 2022-02-04

### *---- "Unable to set up"
After many tries no activation was sent.
