## Wevat Tax Refund Description
The go-to shopping app for your next trip to France!

Welcome to the Wevat community - a group of people who love both travel and shopping! We've helped refund travellers from 88 countries more than €18 million on their shopping.

Wevat aims to make the tax-free shopping experience convenient, efficient and trustworthy for travellers with its revolutionary digital solution and customer- focused service. We believe getting tax back on your shopping should be simple and hassle-free, so you can spend your time and money on better things when you travel to France.

Why choose Wevat tax refund for your next trip to France?

-1. Hassle-free process

Take a picture of your purchase invoices, then simply generate and scan your barcode when you leave France. No more dealing with stamping and mailing multiple paper forms.

-2. More shopping options

No partner store restrictions — you can now shop tax free at any store that sells eligible items with valid invoices, all from your phone!

-3. Save more money

Compared with in-store VAT refund providers, Wevat gives you up to 23% more VAT back with a single, transparent service fee and no foreign exchanges fees.

-4. No minimum purchase spend

You just need to spend EUR 100 in total per trip, whereas traditional In-store tax refunds requires a minimum of EUR 100 per purchase.

## Wevat Tax Refund Reviews in United Kingdom

### *---- "Doesn’t work"
App not working at all. Can’t request refunds. Jul 2025
-- Suny-D, 2025-07-24

### *---- "Scam! Avoid at all costs 🚨"
Submitted my tax refund in August, and to this day, still no refund. No updates, no response from customer support—completely unreachable. It’s clear they’ve taken the money and disappeared. Do not use this app! 🚫
-- Rilakbuta2, 2025-02-22

### *---- "Unreliable app."
Unreliable app. Keeps crashing Have tried it on multiple iPhones
-- Ericos2501, 2025-01-10

### *---- "App no longer working"
Avoid! They’ve stopped the app as of a few months ago and havent bothered to fix.
-- MiserableAtBest, 2025-01-10

### *---- "Not working"
I’ve been trying to make the app work for more than two weeks and messaged the support and emailed multiple times. Unfortunately I am receiving no help. I would recommend using another app.
-- Juliemrca, 2025-01-02

### *---- "App Not working"
Tried to use this app but it is not accepting travel dates. I contacted them and got this response:
Hi there, thanks for contacting us. We are experiencing some temporary issues causing the problem with generating form, that's why we cannot accept your invoices. In order to avoid missing out your refund, we would suggest you use the in-store tax refund service for purchases made from now on. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you very much for your understanding, we will inform you when we back to service as soon as possible!
-- Toooldtousethis, 2024-11-06

### *---- "Scam"
The app cannot make the tax refund
-- OGC_ant, 2024-10-29

### **--- "Wish I would have checked for alternatives..."
Read about this app online and didn't realise there were plenty of similar alternatives. The app is quite buggy, e.g. it showed me an incorrect refund amount (based on the lower "express refund") percentage. Instructions on the website are also unclear, e.g. the website mentions that online shopping receipts should be forwarded when according to support they still need to be uploaded in the app. This would all be fine but unfortunately the support is very slow and arrogant - it took a day and 3 follow-ups from my side before they confirmed that the app is showing incorrect refund amounts, after initially assuming I misunderstood the refund percentages. Going forward I will be trying alternative apps (e.g. skiptax or zapptax), which seem to offer much faster refund timeline and lower fees.

### ***** "Amazing"
Great customer service, super helpful. One of a kind in terms of value add for shopping in France!
-- GianniLondon, 2024-09-05

### ***** "Simple and easy to use"
Used this on my latest trip to Paris and the process was so smooth. Will definitely use it again when I’m back next month!
