The w3w app can be summed up in two words – “absolutely brilliant!"

As a photographer who uses both DSLR cameras and an iPhone, I’m used to recording GPS Co-ordinates in my images. 

Recently however, people have been asking for w3w addresses as they find it easier to navigate to where my photos were taken. 

If I may, can I suggest an additional feature please? I love the fact that the phone app will allow me to add w3w addresses to my images, but it would be even better if they could be added to an image’s Metadata. 

Don’t know if this is technically possible, but it would be fantastic if it could be achieved…

Today I had a small piece of metal fly from a truck on the motorway and go under my car which then got caught in my engine. we called 999 they asked me for my exact location which we were unable to give. The control room asked if I had this App? I did not. They sent me a link. I download this App and with in seconds I was able to give my exact location and get me to safety.  What3words saved us from serious trouble. 

This is a genuine story and I would like to thank the Developers and Emergency Services for their support.
