Wheels Mobile Assistant requires a Wheels Driver Tools Account.

Company Vehicle Drivers: Streamline your productivity with an integrated suite of tools you need as a driver of a company-provided vehicle.  Smart notifications will proactively alert you to upcoming requirements, enabling efficient time management. Easily access on-the-go tools. And you always have direct-dial assistance from Wheels Customer Support Team to get the support you need if there is a roadside incident.

Reimbursement Drivers: For drivers on the Wheels Reimbursement program, not only do you have access to the maintenance services for your personal vehicle with included roadside support services, now the app’s Trip Log and GPS AutoLog make documenting your reimbursable business trips a breeze. Trips documented here can be directly submitted for reimbursement. You won't need to use the spreadsheet method anymore! With this capability, you allow your phone to capture your business driving during set hours, and you can augment the default trip descriptions with notes and business reasons for your trips.

It’s clear this app was not designed by people that travel for work. If it was, then it wouldn’t auto log a flight as a 700 mile drive. 🤦‍♂️

I’ve had to disable the GPS logging. Even when I wasn’t actively logging a trip, the app decided to log one anyway, which became obvious when it logged the miles of a recent flight. I recognize that this is a complex task for the developers, but nobody wants another app to baby sit. Fortunately, you can just turn off the GPS access and manually log your trips. And sadly, this is easier and less frustrating than trying to decipher the collective mess of trips the app auto logs. I just wish they would make manual trip logging easier… maybe utilize the Siri API, or extend the app into Apple Shortcuts app, or make a CarPlay app. 

Also, do we need to login every time? Face ID is fast, but it just adds another frustrating delay to an already slow app. No data in this app is so secure and sensitive that I should need to authenticate every time I open it. I’m already on my iPhone that I’ve unlocked with Face ID or a passcode. Even if someone swiped my iPhone out of my hands while it was unlocked, they’re not going to find anything of value in a trip logging app. Maybe instead of making the whole app secure, they could just make viewing the log history secure? Also, when Wheels decides it’s time to change your password, they don’t warn you… you’ll just try and login one day and it says your password is wrong. It’s not. They just don’t know how to prompt for a password refresh. 

Finally, don’t travel on Sunday. Why? Because the app/service is down for the ENTIRE DAY while they do maintenance.

Mileage.  I’ve tried everything to fix it but it still crashed. I’ve called wheels and also Apple with no luck. The app needs some attention.

When I enter in a trip from-to. My next entry should automatically shows the last location I arrived at. How would it be possible for me to depart from a location other than the last location I arrived at?
Why do I need to re-enter the from location on my next entry?

If this was the year 1994, this app would be great, but it is 2024.

App barely works.  It’s impossible to accurately track mileage with this app.  It just locks up and doesn’t load. Loses trips.  The android version works slightly better, but not much.  Very frustrating.

I use this app to submit mileage only because it’s how my company requires that I do it. The old Motus app we used was much better. I tried not to make a rash judgment but after using the app for 5 months I’m convinced it’s not just a familiarity issue. The app is very klunky to use and the tracking modes doesn’t really accommodate the way I work.
