Heat pumps

Just basic information… what about heat pumps they use in Scandinavian countries which give out higher heat so don’t need to increase radiators sizes? I thought the magazine would give more knowledgeable advice; new to the market, future developments

Horribly laggy

Old Coachman on

United Kingdom

I’ve used this app for many years and it’s mostly been ok, but recently it has become horribly slow and laggy on my iPhone 13 Pro - slow enough that it’s really hard to navigate around: tap the back button and it might be several seconds before anything happens, or it might not notice the tap at all. Sometimes I give up and tap again and then find it takes me back 2 steps and throws away all my search criteria. I flat have an older iPad (but still supported on the current OS) and it’s absolutely unusable on that. All the other apps I often use on it are fine. I think Which? needs to focus on responsiveness for a while. Historically the search and coverage haven’t always been great but these are much better now. It’s a useful app, but just needs some attention on performance.

Slow App

Ratenga on

United Kingdom

As someone who values reliable consumer advice, I had high hopes for the Which? app. Unfortunately, my experience has been overwhelmingly disappointing. Despite the reputation of Which? as a trusted organization, the app fails to live up to expectations in almost every way. Performance Issues The app is extremely slow, with pages taking an unnecessarily long time to load. Whether you’re searching for product reviews or browsing categories, the lag is frustrating and disruptive. This poor performance makes even simple tasks feel like a chore, which is unacceptable for a paid service. User Interface The interface feels outdated and clunky, lacking the smooth functionality you’d expect from a premium app. Navigation is unintuitive, with menus and categories that are difficult to locate. The search function is unreliable, often producing irrelevant results or failing to display information you know exists on the platform. Content Accessibility While the content itself may be valuable, the app does a poor job of delivering it. Many times, pages fail to load, and the app crashes unexpectedly. Accessing specific reviews or comparison tools is a headache, making it difficult to justify the cost of a subscription. Value for Money Considering that this app requires a subscription to access its full features, it’s hard not to feel like it’s a waste of money. For the premium price, you would expect a seamless experience, but instead, you’re left battling an app that feels like it’s stuck in the past. There are free alternatives available that function far better and provide comparable information. Final Thoughts The Which? app is a disappointment. Its sluggish performance, poor usability, and lack of reliability make it frustrating to use. For a paid service, the app should deliver a polished and efficient experience, but it fails on all fronts. I cannot recommend it, as it feels like a waste of both time and money. You’re better off accessing their content through the website or exploring free alternatives.

Very slow app

Very slow app. Tapping something takes 3-5 seconds to respond. (M2 iPad Air and great internet)

Trusting

I always look to see what Which recommends. As they’ve never let me down.

I don’t agree with your finding regarding leaving cover off airer. I’ve had mine for over 4 years now and tried both on and off.

Which? The UK’s Consumer Champion?

Nigel Mansel on

Why does this app claim to have in app purchases for their reviews but then the only way to get this is to have to register on the Which? website. I want to use Apple’s in app purchase method. However this is not possible. Please let me know if I am missing something and I will revise my review.

Latest update broke the app

MdE35 on

United Kingdom

You appear to be offline! Unfortunately every other app and website would seem to disagree…

Unresponsive and buggy

St3phenj on

United Kingdom

Content aside which I’m pleased with the app really needs to be improved. It’s far too slow and unresponsive to be enjoyable to use. Button presses are often not recognised resulting in multiple angry taps to try and get to where you want to go by which point it decides to kick in and you’ve gone too far back.

Slow!

nmmerri on

United Kingdom

Why is the app so slow? And this is on an iPhone 16 Pro Max and ultra fast broadband so it is the app.
