■ Why make this?
There are already many tools based on Whisper in the market, so why make another one? The intention is simple:
1. Sometimes I have a bizarre dream and want to record it when I wake up, but it's hard to type with sleepy eyes. I wish for a tool that can quickly input and transcribe speech.
2. When friends send me messages requiring lengthy replies, and I'm either on the street or eating, I wish to reply quickly without responding with voice messages.
Therefore, this product strikes a balance between accuracy and speed: using the largest model possible without having to wait minutes to complete transcription. Normally, you input a speech, wait a few seconds, and then copy the text to reply. If you seek ultimate accuracy (which results in very slow transcription), Whisper Notes might not be suitable for you.

Works well, but lacks some features
The app is great for what it does, but does lack some features that will either make or break the app. It is very difficult to bulk export, even with the update, as it only provides options to bulk copy. I tried to export through the files in iTunes from my Mac, but this wasn't possible either. I would love to start an audio journal, but without the ability to bulk export to back up, I will stick to typing until the feature is added.

Batch exporting all text would help me organize and categorize my thoughts using an LLM (fast)
What this app does:
Record your thoughts (mostly accurately) by speaking them out loud throughout the day.
You can keep the audio recordings if you want.
You can select a voice clip/transcript to copy it. (But can’t export/“copy all text” all at once)

Not working
Your app seems to be broken. All I get is the search function at the top of the screen, and when I hit record record something it doesn’t record a thing. you might want to check into this, not working at all.

The app does what it says and totally worth $3.
That said, I lost an important recording because I think iOS terminated the app in the background before transcription completed. I think that recording may be lost now? I hope not. It would be nice if we could defer transcription until later when I know I’ll have time for longer notes
