Did what it needs to do
I'm traveling to Austria and needed to buy public transport tickets. I was able to register and buy 2, 7-day tickets for my spouse and I within 5 minutes using apple pay. The 72 hr and 7-day ticket is the same price so I'd just get that if you're here for 4.5 days or just 3+ days.
Entirely useless
The Login button on the sidebar worked once and I was able to create an account. Now when clicking the Login button, the prompt disappears immediately and it says an error has occurred. This continues after deleting and reinstalling the app.
Terrible app
The app before worked great. This app is not user friendly and often is incorrect.
Running in circles to get a ticket
It took me probably 15 minutes to finally get my ticket. Had to log into a website, make an account, approve two emails, make a new passcode, do it all over again. Just to get two tickets with Apple Pay. I don’t think it could get more complicated. But I persisted and succeeded. Now I just hope all the info I had to submit stays private.
Rube Goldberg payment system
The app itself is relatively benign and usable, but when you try to purchase tickets for the first time, the number of steps required to do so is absurd in its complexity; several web pages must be visited, accounts need to be set up, forms must be filled out, all to take you back to the app to be able to use Apple Pay. It took about 15 minutes to complete the maze above, as numerous errors were encountered and slow sites. This ridiculous process needs to be simplified to just Apple Pay direct, or simply entering a card and billing address.
Unusable on iPhone SE (2020 Ed.)
App does work with Display Zoom set to Larger Text. The Confirm button on the date control for setting up an account or selecting travel dates cannot be pushed.
Wow!
Best app ever. Super fast and reliable. No issues whatsoever, keep up the good work!
Return tickets expire after first ride
This app is a piece of garbage. I bought a return ticket on a bus, when I wanted to take the ride back the ticket was shown as expired although the date was correct (=today). Why do I need to fight with the bus driver over nonfunctional app. Why reinventing things that work well in other countries? Vienna, time to catch up!
Massively underwhelming
This app is particularly not user friendly, but I’ve finally gotten it to work.
When you to to book a ticket, you have to specify a starting point. The interface here is *terrible*. Firstly it brings you to a screen with two white boxes, it is not clear at all what to do. If you play around you realize the bottom box is for typing in a location. Unfortunately that location can *only* be a station/stop for the transit. Entering a nearby location or landmark wont give any results or suggestions. There is no option to use your current location. In this way the app fails all basic tests of modern usability.
Ill add it’s frustrating that you even need to enter a location in the first place. Just do what other metro areas do and make the ticket valid for a certain length of time. Unnecessarily complex and based on aged ways of running public transit.
They say the ticket is valid for ‘one direction of travel’ so what happens if I miss my stop? Do I need a new ticket? Are transfers between different modes of transit or lines forbidden?
It also doesn’t store my payment info (regardless of choice of payment: “Visa” vs “Visa (storeable).” So I have to retype my card information *every* time.
Overall a really disappointing experience and seemingly designed by folks with little experience with other mass transit systems approaches to apps. I would suggest taking some time to study other cities’ apps and completely redesign this one. In a way the failings of this app is good for my health, it encourages me to walk more.
Ticket purchase
The amount of clicks I have to make to buy a ticket is ridiculous these days. Also you cannot even buy two tickets at once.
