## Winamp Reviews in United States

### **--- "Nostalgia with bugs"
I got this app a few years back and it was buggy beyond use. I read about the Winamp and Deezer partnership and redownloaded to see if anything had improved before their launch next year. Seems like something have improved but overall still lots of options. The app will not allow you to continue with the creation of a Winamp account. No matter how hard I try it will not sync all my local iTunes media on phone nor will it sync with my iCloud. I’d love to use this as my daily media player especially with Deezer integration coming next year, I just hope a lot of things are improved by then and I can update my review of the app.

### ***-- "Customise"
The player is generally good; I imported offline music from Apple Music, but there are a couple of issues. 1. Playlists don't import. I have a lot of albums, and I've sorted my favorite tracks into separate playlists, but they're not there. 2. However, when I create a playlist, I can't select multiple tracks and add them to the desired playlist. I can only add tracks one by one, and there's no playlist button inside the player, which is inconvenient.

I'd also like integration with the PC or Mac app. The downsides apply to the desktop app as well; it also has issues with playlists, especially importing m3u files from iTunes. It simply returns an error.

Despite this, this is the best app out there, as it has flexible interface customization and, most importantly, an equalizer.

I'd like to be able to switch tracks by swiping on the cover instead of tapping it.

### ***-- "Nice, but…"
The UI for music is clean, and being able to assign functions to the buttons within it is very nice, but I wish the customization extended to the app’s “dock” at the bottom of the screen. I don’t like that things like the Fanzone and Home tabs can’t be removed. It’d probably be the perfect music app for me if I could set it up so that the app’s sole focus was on local files and their organization, rather than there being areas of the app that try to nudge you into participating in some kind of online “community”, or having yet another online account.

### *---- "Stupid?"
When i try to add music in my phone winamp expecting to me select each mp3 1 by 1. Who is the person that put this stupid feature in this app? Why we cant select a folder?
-- Orçun Tulis, 2026-08-11

### ***** "Great for nostalgia"
The user experience of the app has really improved over time, I love that I can upload old music files from my childhood/younger years that I could never find on iTunes.

The personalization features are cool too if you like to customize the design.

### ****- "Childhood memories"
It has a lot of bugs, please fix the bugs on iPhone and iPad.
-- Hashemizade1359, 2026-06-26

### ***** "Perfect player. No ads !"
U can find free music in player and no any ads.
-- DAMIR Boxin, 2026-05-30

### *---- "Everything but an mp3"
I can’t make this up the entire experience is great but you can’t play mp3. It does not even try to play them.
-- Virgiltu1, 2026-04-01

### *---- "Does not read files already on phone"
I absolutely love the Windows desktop version of Winamp. I was hoping for a similar experience on the phone. Files that I want to play are already on the phone, but this app will not access them. Major bummer, but this means the app is useless to me in particular.
-- Wishitowrked, 2026-02-08

### *---- "No updates for 8 months."
All they need to do is to include OpenSubsonic API support to their modern and classic player and they will have themselves a winner. This company is not even trying.
