Draw obstacles and watch the fluid flow around. Experiment with different sizes, shapes, aerodynamic profiles and see what happens ! Tap the blue button to bring application controls. Three segmented controls let you choose between: • 4 touch actions:  interact with the fluid, draw walls, insert smoke probe, use eraser tool. • 4 visualization modes:  particles, smoke, pressure field, velocity field. • 2 simulation modes:  wind tunnel (with adjustable wind speed), free mode (with no constrained wind). If you are interested in more options, check out Wind Tunnel, the paid version of this app, with many more features! New in version 1.5.1: - updated for iOS 9 New in version 1.5: - improved retina graphics - new simulation engine for dual-core devices - iPhone 5 support - other graphic improvements New in version 1.3: - Much more accurate fluid simulation engine. - Visualization of velocity field, with this color scheme : black (fluid at rest), blue, red, yellow (highest speed). - New preset models (try "swirl" !). - Ability to change smoke color : in "interact" touch action and "smoke" mode, double tap on the smoke source, at the top of the screen - Fixed bugs on boundary conditions. New in version 1.2: - Added support for older iphones and ipod touch (armv6) - Minor bug fixes - Added models of the "Lite" version Fluid motion is computed by solving Navier-Stokes equations, at high definition ( 23000 grid cells on ipad ) thanks to a well-optimized code taking the most out of CPU performance. Thank you all for your great comments. ## Wind Tunnel Free Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple71/v4/b1/ba/b5/b1bab50f-2756-1afb-db74-a9579cfe68be/mzm.zttypgtw.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple22/v4/41/d5/af/41d5afee-7c3a-6451-63ac-b72d27393454/mzm.tigrzbpo.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple42/v4/f8/34/2d/f8342d54-4e4d-b2ae-66d6-a101c29ae5b6/mzm.nevxszbs.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple22/v4/a9/7c/5f/a97c5ff4-e085-a036-2ce8-e1b7d3b946b2/mzm.mzvdtgao.png/640x960.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Purple62/v4/e5/39/6c/e5396cb3-1561-83bd-525f-b9c79810e6f0/mzm.kdapkmag.png/640x960.png) ## Wind Tunnel Free Rating Breakdown in United States - 5 stars: 39 (83%) - 4 stars: 5 (11%) - 3 stars: 1 (2%) - 2 stars: 1 (2%) - 1 stars: 1 (2%) ## Wind Tunnel Free Reviews in United States ### ****- "Great Little App To Show People Wind Around House" I love this app. it would be great to reward developer. -- GerardRG, 2023-04-17 ### ****- "Updates" I like this a lot but it really needs some updates. Be nice to draw easier or import profiles. -- johnnympg, 2022-12-05 ### ***** "Paid Version not Available?!?!?!" Would LOVE to get the paid version!!! Tons of useful features are missing otherwise. -- Shellhead101, 2022-09-19 ### ***** "Great but add the paid features" I cannot purchase the paid version in the US because it says the app isn’t applicable in my region. A coworker was able to get it on their device years ago and it works flawlessly. Can either the paid version be opened up for the US based customers or can you put the paid content into this app as an in app purchase? -- BernoulliBoi, 2022-09-14 ### ***** "Wind Tunnel CFD unavailable in the USA" How can the “Wind Tunnel CFD” version of this app be made available… in the US? -- Not-a-happy-camper, 2022-06-12 ### ***** "Excellent tool for CFI’s/student pilots" I just wish there was a way to change the angle of items drawn or angle on oncoming air. You just have to manually redraw the airfoil. -- Dh1937, 2021-12-18 ### ***** "Do a few changes." This is a cool app but unlike the paid version of wind tunnel, there is an option to change the angle of attack of the shape you draw like an airfoil but this free version doesn’t have that please add an option for changing the angle of the drawn shape -- siddahnt, 2020-08-15 ### ***** "Sooooooo Cool" Great Game! And No Ads😎😎😎🌪🌪🌪🌊🌊🌊⛈⛈⛈🌋🌋🌋 -- HauntedBotanist, 2020-08-10 ### ***** "Amazing app to show concepts in action." Great app with great UI.
